Episode 443 – The Stench Of Success
For this episode we decided to do a show on carp fishing… it’s not our first and it definitely won’t be our last. Although Ang and Pete wouldn’t call themselves experts, they do feel they are gaining valuable knowledge with every season that passes. The beauty of Carp fishing is it opens up a whole new world to them.
Sail Tools of The Trade – Scent
Since Pete was using scented boilies for his carp episode today, here’s a few reasons why scented baits are such a good idea. Freshwater fish like pike, bass, walleye and carp have highly developed olfactory (smell) organs and are attracted to certain scents. That’s why so many freshwater bait manufacturers, especially of plastic baits, build the […]
Sail Tools of The Trade – Sonar
Fish finders, depth sounders, Sonars, doesn’t matter what you call them, they’ve come a long ways from the original paper graph of the 70’s. However they still perform the same function: to help you locate fish and see beyond the surface of water, without them we’d still be in the dark ages, but how does all […]
Episode 442 – Big Hammer Northerns
If there was ever a guarantee in fishing, a sure fire one would be that Canada is home to the best Northern Pike fishing in the world. They can be found in every province and they can grow to monstrous proportions.
For this episode Angelo headed to the province of Saskatchewan and in particular Lake Athabasca, a water body known for its giant Pike.
Episode 441 – Channel Oriented Walleye
This Fish’n Canada show is kind of a bizarre episode which sits on the heels of an even more bizarre episode in where Ang had found what could be deemed as the ultimate Pike Feeding Frenzy!
Attawapiskat River, Ontario
Our Hotspot for this month is a small weedbed in a back bay along the Attawapiskat River in Northern Ontatrio. The Fish’n Canada guys fished this area in extreme high water levels and frigid water temperatures. In perfect conditions this place would rock! Try giant tube baits or other slow moving plastics and hang on!!!
Episode 440 – Shallow Northern Phenomenon
f you are ever looking to watch a bizarre or unique fishing episode then this may very well be the ultimate. This adventure took Angelo Pike fishing up to Agich’s Kaby Kabins on Kabinakagami Lake in the Algoma region of Ontario.
