Things have been absolutely nuts around here… but that’s usual as Ang and I have been road warriors yet again as the warm weather is upon us. We have been in Northern Ontario at Eddie North’s Attawapiskat Adventures for big Northern Pike, to Lodge 88 for another get together with the Kaden Brown Foundation guys […]
Here’s my craziest catch so far this year! It was hanging around the dock that the kids were swimming from and obviously it freaked them and everyone else out! I managed to catch it, put it in a wheelbarrow, then in my truck and finally into a swamp a few hundred yards away!
Ang and I just returned from the UK where we attended a Carp fishing trade show and let me tell you, man was it impressive! It’s called The Big One and it does live up to its name. We were there to represent the province of Ontario and tell the rest of the world just […]
I took my sons Hunter and Cole out for their first ever ice fishing trip up to Lake Joseph in the Muskokas. We met up with Captain John Blanchard on a cold windy day but luckily John had a perfectly heated hut so the boys didn’t freeze. There was no way I was going to […]
If you saw the front page then you saw that Ang and I just returned from Tobin Lake in Saskatchewan… and let me tell you something… we caught a ton of bigguns’. It’s by far the best fall Pike fishing we’ve ever had. The unique part was, we were stationed in one spot while throwing […]
It’s been a crazy latter part of the summer and into the early fall. We returned to the Atlantic Ocean at Ballantynes Cove for another Tuna adventure and again, got our string pulled by another couple of massive beasts. A 600 & an 875 to be precise! If you ever want to experience the ultimate […]
Jerry Ouellette’s Kids Fishing Day took place on a rainy Saturday but the families still endured the weather for this great annual event. Apparenty there were 900 trout released in the pond and the kids (and adults) were hard at it putting the critters on the bank. Even later in the day when the crowd […]
Opener of Walleye on the Bay of Quinte is in the books and the taste of Walleye is in my system. I teamed up with Jack Summers of Radioworld and his good buddy Claude Del Tatto for a “full” Saturday of Walleye fishing on Quinte. We based our group out of Deseronto but didn’t limit […]
It’s been an interesting spring so far. Thank god it’s here. The last couple of weekends have had me out searching for Panfish. A couple of weeks ago I hit Lake Scugog, a shallow warm lake near the GTA. I wanted to target Crappie and with that in mind, my son Cole and brother in […]
It’s been a very busy week around the office & studio here. We just finished shooting a commercial “in house” and man, what a ton of work! We’re talking about 6 short scenes to be shown in less than a 30 second span. The setup is the biggest job. Lighting, set prep & re-takes are […]
The ice is melting and none too soon! Sorry to all the ice fishermen, hockey heads, cold weather lovers etc. but this really is the cream of the year coming up. Wildlife both above and below the water will soon be into hyper active mode and the world will seemingly wake up… like a big […]
