On this Fish’n Canada episode, Ang & Pete travel to Ontario’s Marten River Lodge, an establishment that has been around for 90 years! Lodge owner Ray Sapiano has the boys fishing smallmouth bass on the extensive Marten River System, as well as cruising ATV’s to experience the supreme back-lake habitat…talk about an all-in-one trip!
Pete takes his son Hunter on a Carp adventure “extraordinaire” to Lakeside Cottages on Katchewanooka Lake. Hunter soon learns that in order to catch the biggest fish of his life, it will take a world of patience. Will “the kid” have it… Pete has his doubts!
“To me” says Pete “opening day is like New Year’s Day: full of resolutions and promises. In my case, it’s pretty simple: set the tone for the season right now – go big or go home! Boating a five pound plus Smallie or even one approaching a six in the next day and a half, here, in this well-known bass fishery, would set a benchmark for the next 5+months”.
