Lake Nipissing, Ontario (Multi-Species)

Location: Lake Nipissing, Ontario
GPS: N46º 13.645′ W79º 55.728′
Species: Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Muskellunge

This Hotspot was located during our 2016 Fish’n Canada Bootcamp* up at Chaudiere Lodge. It’s a back bay that harbours Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass, the odd Pike, and if you’re really lucky, you could even tie into a Lake Nipissing Muskie.

Topwaters and Spinnerbaits are the best multi-species bait choices with 4-5″ Senkos being the best plastics for the Bass.

This is a general location waypoint; work this entire bay for best results.

Baits: Topwaters, Spinnerbaits, 4-5″ Senkos
Presentation: Experiment with retrieve speeds
Water depth: 1-3 feet

*Highlights from the 2016 Fish’n Canada Bootcamp were featured in the episode, “Ontario Road Trip.” This episode showcased all of our Ontario destinations for the year, concluding with this unforgettable week spent at the famous Chaudiere Lodge.

Now that you new recruits have arrived at the Fish n’ Canada Boot Camp, you will be subject to the most intense angling trailing that you have never experienced, this side of the Rocky Mountains! I won’t take any @#%& from anyone! Understand! YES CORPORAL!! Good! It will be tough. So listen up!—–Hey! Shake your head boy! Do you hear anything? NO CORPORAL!! That’s right, because there is nothing up there!

Wait! – What! Oh wow! Sorry folks, I was having a flash back about my own basic training horror show. That blast furnace called C.F.B. Cornwallis can really have an effect on a guy.

Now, what this Fish n’ Canada blog about? Oh yeah. Lake Nipissing, Ontario (Multi-Species) and training some neophytes on how to handle their military fishing equipment. Corporal Bowman and Sergeant Viola will be arriving shortly, so let’s get to it boys!

By the right quiiick march! Left, left, left, right, left!!

  2. Wow it looks like paradise. I have only been to a place like that once in my life and that was 60 miles east of Lac La Ronge by float plane. You could hear a pin drop in the grass its so quiet. loved it and love your show.
