This Hotspot is a subtle point at the mouth of a long bay on British Columbia’s Shawinigan Lake. It’s more of a flat than a point, but it does have some contours which attracted us in the first place.

Since it’s only around six feet deep, almost any smallie bait in the book will work here. We used topwater baits, tube jigs, jerkbaits, and soft stick-worms, and they all worked.

When fishing an area like this, covering water is the key. Fish will roam around and not concentrate on one place too long. It’s up to you as an angler to keep the brain working and firing out lots of presentations.

Fish’n Canada aficionados might recall the time our beloved bait Mighty Mo invaded Shawnigan Lake on this episode.

Baits: Topwater, Tubes, Jerkbaits, Soft Stick-Worms
Presentation: Work lots of water here.
Water depth: Approximately 6 feet
