The Coronavirus which has infected thousands, most likely jumped from a Chinese Horseshoe Bat to humans. This is not a unique event, as SAR’s and Ebola have links to viruses that are found in bats. Dr. Scott Weese from the Ontario Veterinary College of the University of Guelph is an expert in infectious and parasitic animal diseases and he explains the bat connection.
