Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry, the Honorable John Yakabuski, joins Angelo to talk about revisions to the fisheries regulations for carp.

The Great Ontario Salmon Derby kicks off this morning. Bill Barootes is the official weigh master. The Derby offers a prize pool of over $300,000. Bill will update Angelo on the changes to the format, and the opportunities for the occasional fisherman to enjoy a spectacular day on a charter boat on Lake Ontario.

Laurie Marcil from Nature and Outdoor Tourism Ontario will join Angelo with an update on the opportunities and issues for Northern Ontario resort operators and outfitters.

For the Go Fish in Ontario segment we’re headed to Ritchie Falls Resort. The resort is operated by the Sagamok First Nation and is located north of Massey. Matthew Owl will be Angelo’s guest and the host of a future Fish’n Canada TV program.

Former Minister of Natural Resources, Jerry Ouellette, is Angelo’s guest. How did Jerry become the spokesperson for Chaga, the medicinal mushroom found in the Northern Ontario forest?
