leg of our five month uh great ontario getaway giveaway can you believe it five

months honest to god it to me we just started it blew fast and it went quick for sure

so we thought we'd give you a different look uh something uh that we're working on for future

uh podcasts so we're trying to podcast and webcast we're trying to come up with uh with something different yeah leave a

oh yeah okay yeah the noob dude is me right now and lori marcel hello

uh so pumped so pumped she's pumped because it's the last show that's the last one

they've been they've been so helpful uh dno and noto everybody

that's for sure everybody's been helpful on this one so all right so yeah it has been five months we we have

carved our way through to the final leg so later on today we'll be

announcing the five final winners of the monthly segment of the event and then we're going gonna

match them up with five lucky lodge owners and we're gonna pair them up and off they go

uh it's been uh uh it's been an adventure i'll say the least for sure um behind the scenes

stuff that we never well we kind of anticipate but you don't know what you're going to expect to see

we have seen so much extra stuff that really that people don't have to you have to hear about or know about but

just to let you know boy i'll tell you when you put on a contest of this size there's a lot of behind the scenes stuff good bad and ugly what's that uh there's

teddy from hot white live city yeah drunk you're wearing a helmet ted you are the best buddy

and i just thought about it my fans wanted to tell you he could tell us there's more to that comment than that

all right i'll tell you fess up why not it's the last it's the last episode perfect i love it i love it so it's a

great story about two weeks ago i was uh i was working in my basement and we just

had renovations done at the house and the staircase going up and down the

stairs is kind of a circular thing and it has no railings or banisters on it yet

so it's just a big staircase with with nothing around it anyways i've been going up and down

this thing now for the last little while never had a problem but the the treads on the steps

have got a cardboard tread stapled to them so that the construction workers you

know going up and down they're not going to obviously ruin the wood and all that stuff so they've got these these treads

stapled to them but they're not really secure and through you know through the weeks of going up and down these steps a

lot of those tread covers have come loose and they're and they're kind of moving around anyways i'm down there

uh doing some work and i it's time to go upstairs and i go up and i've got these thong

little slipper things on flip-flops like you always wear absolutely and uh i got halfway up the

steps and and the front of the slipper got caught on one of those cardboard pieces and of course

all hell broke loose my hand rail no head but it's funny because everything happened in slow motion as i was losing

it and falling backwards i had turned and twisted the train try and get myself together but as

i was doing that i'd also push myself backwards towards the open side of the staircase

and as i'm reaching back i'm thinking you idiot you know there's nothing back there

next thing i know i woke up on the floor all contorted up and dazed and bruised and

so confused i'm sorry bottom line is i had a mild concussion i have tony thongs

i don't know yeah there's some people calling that flip-flops slides so anyways um i ended up with a

mild concussion and uh and what i thought were broken ribs but they

turned out not to be broken broken would have been good i've had lots of those but there they are what's

called a contusion of the left something or other so basically the

muscle has torn off the the back of the ribs and so now i'm going through uh rehab

you sound like you need to go through rehab after something like that happens did you have a little shot or anything

before that happened no no no there was no alcohol involved that'll teach you not to wear a thong anymore there is

going to be alcohol involved in today's program i can tell you that so any of you you know kiddies that are watching

uh uh uncle pete mcglynd will be partaking in a a bit of libation today

to commemorate the celebrant of the great ontario uh getaway giveaway and uh

so we thought it would be only appropriate to do what we would normally do and that is have a shot right so we'll get a little bit of a supply back

here from westland lake hey walt hope you're up there fishing buddy that's a good little body

of water yeah no kidding like that was the bottom end of that that little sucker water auto lake or something like

that or something something like that might be my vegan yeah that was good

wearing thongs so uh before uh we do any of that i thought we'd read one of the we've had many uh of the

winners of this contest already taken their trips we thought a lot of them would would end up postponing to

uh next year because you can but um much to our

delight a few of them have actually gone on the trips this year and they've sent us uh some reports and letters we we

read one on the last program uh i believe yeah so we've got one now from

uh merv ellis who was a third place winner in uh the month of july so last uh the

last months yeah well he went quickly he must have won and pulled up and said i'm going yeah

give me give me that trip uh so just a quick uh letter he dropped he says uh just to let you know my brother wes and

i arrived home last night from our two-day trip from eagle lake island lodge wow

in there great place lake is spectacular but anyways uh the

trip that i won was for three nights and two days but i decided to book another

night before we actually left home which was what we were kind of hoping was going to happen is that keeping in mind

once again what the purpose of this whole event was that is to help our

canadian and ontario lodge owners in particular make it through these uh dark days of pandemic with no business

especially a lot of them in the northwest that depended a hundred percent on u.s

uh tourism of course that's been shut down virtually shut down for the better part of two years so we thought this would be

a great way to kind of help them out not only are they going to make some money because we're paying them for these

trips but we're hoping that the winners would kind of add to that kitty by extending the trip and buying a bunch of goodies

and all that stuff right so and it has been going on too thank you very much

so he says i can say for both of us it was the best of the best the lodge was

more than we ever expected managers jim and charlene and all of the staff treated us like royalty

the large cottage we have we had was the best beds were very comfortable and the wood stove for heat

well we needed it every night during our stay to make it more enjoyable um and if

you haven't spent time in the wilderness that wood stove in that cabin is magic

even if you don't need it it's nice to light up you know um he says he goes on to say that the meals

we had each day were just great and of course we ate too much even though we didn't have a shore lunch which i don't

know what happened there there must have been a reason they didn't have one uh we did have a fish fry one evening

our guide adam put us on the walleye every day between my brother and i we caught 150

walleye i have included the largest walleye that we caught maybe we can put them up on the screen whoever's in charge of that

boys uh of course my brother cut the largest uh at 29 inches mine was 26. there's a

beautiful there's a 26 incher and there's the 29 what a walleye look

at that wow that's an eagle leg beast right there we're gonna go boys that's fantastic

we'll pass on our experience to as many people as possible which is what we were also hoping to get from this contest

uh people just word of mouth let's just talk it up we've got a great thing here in ontario we've got a great thing in in

the wilderness and not just ontario all across canada we have it is truly the last frontier and

whether you know we become callous to it or not the rest of the world looks at canada as truly

the last frontier and we're hoping that this contest will somehow

take that story and and and expand on it make sure we tell as many people as possible that when they're considering a

vacation let's just do it at home this year we've got the best possible vacation spots on

the planet let's take advantage of it um and obviously these folks are saying the same thing uh they're saying they're

going to pass the word along to many people as possible and hopefully they'll decide to take the opportunity

to experience what we recently had at the eagle lake island lodge

uh i want to thank the fish and canada folks noto and eagle lake lake island lodge for giving my brother and i a very

enjoyable fishing trip of a lifetime one that we will never forget and i'd also like to add to that if i could a

destination northern ontario who were instrumental dave mclaughlin and his group were instrumental in putting this

contest on without them we would not be sitting here talking about the contest so um i i just want to reach out to them

and say thank you very much for absolutely absolutely well i've got a question quick somebody's talking about

38 inches do we say something wrong or is there more on that written i'm not sure because it was we talked about a 26

and a 29 inch walleye there was no mention of a 38 inch walleye that's for sure on this on this i don't like it i might i don't

i don't think i'd be shocked if i said something wrong no not anyways

those are fantastic fish 29 inch walleye man you're getting close to 10 pounds in this issue very close to 10 pounds

that's a big one then from charlene who is the general manager of eagle lake island lodge uh

she writes says we uh also are super thankful to have had the opportunity to participate

um and to be selected as a winning lodge merv and his brother wes were truly some

of the best guests we've had up on the island so

which is fantastic i mean keep in mind a lot of these places i know this is hard to believe but a lot of these places and

this might be one of those they don't usually get canadian guests that's right they're guests for all

americans so it truly is a totally different experience for these lodge owners to to be

you know exposed to canadian folks that love the outdoors and and this is certainly a case uh where where

she goes on to say that um uh it's so easy they were so easygoing and appreciative of the great canadian

all-inclusive fishing experience i think everyone might have shed a tear when

they left including wes that's awesome so we want to say a great

story for you thank you for sharing that with us in the audience and you know what this embodies the very spirit of

the great ontario getaway giveaway it was designed for the purpose of

evoking these types of emotions and experiences for people both in terms of

the winners going on these trips and the lodge owners um winning as well so and

you know to carry to carry on too just to let everybody everybody get a feel for it if if if you

don't win a trip like this it shouldn't stop you from

going on a trip like this if you can afford it because that experience right there whether they paid for it or not or

want it i'm telling you right now the brothers they love that trip no matter how and that's there's so many instances

where you we just we talk to people on these trips we talk to people throughout you know our careers and see it and

everybody's got and we when we're at these lodges we're working and shooting and you see these people up there visiting and and doing their thing at

these lodges and it's just a totally different trip of a lifetime and they all come out with the same thing man

that was fantastic that was unreal as you're saying that you know what dawn dummy you know even though they're not a tangible these trips are not tangible in

other words it's not something that you can put in a box on a shelf and then pull it out at family get-togethers and

and you know discuss and stuff even though they're not tangible to be they become family heirlooms a lot of these

trips are handed down from generation to generation in terms of stories

and and experiences and and if you haven't done one of these i know you're saying yourself what the hell is he

talking about now but they do they become family heirlooms there's something that people talk about

for generations about that trip that they took to whether it's algonquin park

or quetico or one of these wonderful lodges they become part of the family history in the story yep and we're always

telling you that and that's why it's so important regardless of whether you win here or whether it's financially difficult to

take one of these trips if you would just and i think the reason that a lot of folks aren't doing it is because they

just don't understand what they are they just don't get it the experience that you'll have

on a northern trip like this there isn't a price you can put on yeah there's another good point stephen

muller everybody can read that about uh there's they're always looking for uh employees because uh yeah you know it's

you gotta remember a lot of these employees are from southern ontario saying they're driving all the way up to northwestern ontario it's a two-day

drive just to get to your job and they're staying in there for the whole summer and all that so they're always looking for new people because people

you know after a couple of years want to get out and do something else move on whatever so keep that in mind too if you have kids that are looking for work or

yourself wants to be a guide or work in the service part of it there's a good opportunity there too as

well so by the way i just finally noticed i can say on camera without you know any

doubt at all mine is bigger than yours your ego oh my logo

is with go but it's just that logo or ego

there you go i love it i see vic sir hey vic buddy how are you doing vic carol is on the

in the stream with us oh good because uh our next story yeah is connected to that

i'm sure vic heard this story the area that vick said uh vic by the way was our very first

guide uh for the fishing cannon show um on on the fraser river actually i'm

lying to you rick sorry buddy you were the second i know that's devastating to know but i don't want to make any but

you're our dick you're our favorite and certainly our most uh consistent

uh guy that we've had on the fraser but you weren't the first the first was uh down at chilliwack but anyways um a

wonderful news story that just came out this morning in the uh bank of well actually all the the sun

papers i read it in the toronto sun and it has to do with uh an nhl

goaltender uh pete peters formerly of the boston bruins you probably all know him you want to mess the trophy with

them as a matter of fact he kicked their butts a few times as a matter of fact but anyways we won't get into that but

um he was fishing on the fraser river recently and experienced one of those once in a

lifetime moments him and his buddies caught an 11 and a half foot sturgeon

um on august 15th 11 and a half foot sturgeon now

to put that in its truest of context we peter and i have and vic uh who's on on

the program with us today um we've been exposed to

enough seven and eight foot sturgeon to tell you that an eleven and a half foot sturgeon

does not look real it's ridiculous it it it it does not look real

it just looks it's just too big to be real that's how incredible the site is you

put it beside your 12-foot aluminum boat and he's just about as big as your 12-foot aluminum boat that's a fish that

big and usually the girth is what takes your breath away because these things are not just long that thing was 55 inches

around wasn't that 56 inch girls 56 is almost a 5 foot girth on that fish think about that

they're just a a beautiful beast so but what i didn't know and so i learned from this article

uh first of all listen 11.5 foot to me is is

worthy of of screaming from the rooftops i don't care who you are or where you caught it but what i did not know is

that it could be a new record

and i don't know whether rick can type in there and let us know but apparently they called in um all the

experts to have it certified the guinness world book of

records saying that at the 11 foot six inches

it could be a new canadian if not

sturgeon record at wow and they and it's it's estimated weight was put at 890

pounds wow that's almost a couple of comments about the a's they figure it's about 100 year old fish by the way yeah everybody

so so vic yeah if you can take a look and maybe chime in in a bit there type in if it is a record if it's a a white

sturgeon record if it's a world record if it's a fraser river record canadian record whatever maybe you could find that out for us but either way

the photograph the photograph for the gentleman the five gentleman that uh worked at landing

this fish is is one of the best photographs i've ever seen jordan i emailed you that jordan if you can get on the screen i don't know if you have

that handy or available maybe in the next couple seconds you i oh there it is right there look at that look at this look at the

head on that thing oh you know as i'm looking at that picture

so and we've been in that position many times i'm thinking like all that fish has to do is just

one flick of a tail he's got all guys like dominoes they're gonna be flying all over the place uh

you have to be an nhl or to take that body check and get back out of it because i'll tell you what wow what a great perspective though yeah

they had that they just showed you the size of the head congratulations to uh pete peters and

all the rest of the gentlemen that were on that that trip uh that's that is going to become uh one of those

memorable moments in time that'll be spoken about i'm sure for generations um

without any questions at all uh we've got one more story to give you here uh actually very quick yeah two

more actually but this one here it's not to do with canada let's do with idaho but it's very interesting in that it's a very canadian iconic fish

they have brook trout in certain bodies of water in their mountains and and some of these waters brook trout

are basically invasive i don't know how they got there but these these lakes have cut throat trout and rainbow trout

in them and they compete with their natural fish they cut throats and rainbows so they want to get rid of them

oh they're the largest fish recorded during the fifth oh sorry it went to it wouldn't blank on us there

put that back up again nick it got hidden nick it's going up there maybe nick's trying to show it maybe or

something like that we'll see in a second here everybody else can see it there is largest fish recorded during the 50s

when they commercially fished them was 13 foot eight but i believe they

measured them differently yeah this is from the fork by the way yeah the the measurements today are from the

fork to the snout and it wasn't that many years ago probably you know going back three

decades now they used to measure them from length to length and so there is quite a discrepancy when

you when you do that especially with sturgeon who do happen to have an incredibly long the fork is very deep on

the sturgeon that's right and you squeeze that and you can squeeze a lot out of that you're going to pick up 10 inches every

time right but regardless regardless our only question is um

is 11 and a half foot certified catch on the fraser river

unique and is it a new world record i guess yeah we'll look into it too look at that so he's going back to the idaho

brook road thing very quickly it they want to get rid of the brook trout in the lake so there's there's a couple of ways of doing it one of the ways is to

chemically drop chemicals into the lake and kill the lake and then reintroduce your fish your natural fish the other

one is uh to put in tiger musky they wanted to put in tiger musky

and i get it i thought that that's my that was my thought at first too that was my thought at first but remember tiger must be your

steroid yes so once the tiger muskie wipes out everything and the tiger

muskies will all die off as well there you go or tiger trout as well they can put in there and do the same thing right

but then they came up with well why would we do that why don't we reinvent the wheel they are going to chemically

create a new brook trout that will only spawn out

male trout so it will be the males inject the female or the male only chromosome in

the eggs they will spawn all male throat and eventually all the males will be all

males there'll be no reproduction and it's going to die out it'll be a wonderful world to live in for like imagine the dynamics would change pretty

drastically a lot of bar fights going on there oh god so think about that that's pretty

crazy like that is insane to just for them to be able to do that x and y chromosomes but two wise or

whatever it is in there or door number four leave the brook trout

leave the damn brook trout exactly take advantage and look up to the heavens and say thank you lord for giving us yet

another one however it's like the atlantic salmon it's like all these people these people

you know what i'm saying there's the natural you have to go back okay but the natural has been evolving

for millions of years on this planet you think this is the first time that a species has moved into that body

of wine over the last million years no tigers in there i'll start fishing tiger muskies i don't give a

we have to figure out how can we introduce a a genetically tested creature that we

desire because then we design we own it i guess we can lay claim that we'll have to get the reasons to prove that it's ours how can we inject

mother nature's uh uh uh waters with something that is not natural this is called because that's

gonna help nature apparently we put something underneath that's called the super male brook trout also known as a trojan brook trout why why brook trout

and m small y small white brook trout x chromosomes y chromosomes make the y

it's they're freaking insane but that's what's going on in the world anyways about that about do you know why

that's happened you know why because because we as humans have got you mentioned something earlier on egos

right there's some biologist scientist who has been working on

a theory maybe he started when he was in school coming up with a theory right

that would see him develop and actually give birth to

a brand new strain of brook trout yeah and it's all his alternatives gets

a certificate and he puts it up in the wall his name is on it and all that why would he do that i don't need to have them all die though like i mean

eventually they all die so but you're right because there's so much much behind it but anyway

speaking of uh weird stories we we actually started this story we were we

were responsible for bringing it to mainstream media in 2017

uh when regular media was not really interested in anything like this it started on on

our outdoor journal radio program on the fan 590 rogers fan 590 in 2017 we

had heard about this but it wasn't getting traction anywhere so we thought we would bring

the participants on the program the radio show to discuss it because i i i

just personally found it fascinating whether it was true or not the fact that these numbers were being

spewed and nobody was even blinking an eye i found that whole concept passing i mean it could have been all to

be quite honest with you we didn't have any way of verifying the test results

but i found it fascinating that these results were being offered to mainstream media

and nobody was even blinking at it i said okay well we're going to put them on on our radio show so we did and we

invited them um on the program oceanic canada is the actual

entity that rep was represented by a couple of uh lab

people during these tests oceanic canada by the way

for most hardcore and i will call them knuckle dragging neanderthal

individuals that love fishing and hunting and i may or may not be one of those people by the way

so why are they knuckle draggers what if they call us knuckles i'll tell you why because sometimes we

too are so stuck in our own little place in life that we're not willing to look at new

advancements new ideas new concepts as anything but harmful to what we want to

do and that is fish and hunt sometimes not everybody

says hey you know what maybe we ought to look at uh how we're harvesting that particular resource not all those people

are kooks and tree huggers and want to take away your right to enjoy the outdoors some of them are genuinely

honest to goodness concerned citizens that see something that they have a point of

view on that's fine and we need to listen i just don't know why you called me a knuckle dragger are

you going well you you it's not a hard claim to i mean let's be honest about it see you're you you quasi you're a closet

knuckle dragger that's what you are yeah sure you wear your thong and go out and drag your

knuckles and your feet sometimes too why do you think i wear high socks i can

tuck stuff in there so i don't trip over anyways that's old

anyways so i decided that i talked to a producer at

the time i said i know this goes against the grain but i would like to have these people come on our show

even though i know that that some of the projects that they work on are you know anti this and anti that and don't do

that this particular one i said is intriguing enough that i want them on

a show bottom line is they come on the show and they told us that

they had been doing some tests in canada other parts of the world as well but

this particular one in canada and keep in mind i'm going back the the first time i had them on was 2017 i

had him back on the following year in 2018 with some even more staggering uh

reports but basically what they had done they had sampled um

400 samples taken from 170 different locations across canada

this is samples of seafood they were from coast to coast from vancouver to

newfoundland they had sampled 400 wrapped packaged pieces of seafood

from both restaurant trade and grocery trade

and they discovered that 49

of the product that they sampled was mislabeled

and mainstream media didn't even blink at it there was it was a wonderful report and

it said you know fraudulent fish packaging mainstream was not interested in talking about so bottom line is we

had them on the show we probably woke a few people up with it and um mainstream jumped on

and started writing about it and next thing you know our government um

the lovely the talented the wonderful mr trudeau who by the way i don't know what you're wearing or whatever you just called an

election you're a pandemic but anyways we won't get political on this show right god forbid no

no sucks sorry yeah sorry anyways so as soon as uh they caught wind they said

oh well that certainly doesn't seem right is as as the federal government i think

we should step in and check this out i'll tell you what we're gonna do they

said we are going to institute policies we're going to put programs in place

that will guarantee this will never happen again in canada and that was in

2018 when they made those comments

and that they were going to come up with a new system canadian system

that would be an elaborate boat to plate transferability

seriously transferably i meant well i wonder where they got that from it was going to be a a transparent traceable

system that would be able to follow the product from the sea

all the way to the shelf and if there was anything inappropriate along the way they would have all of the

pieces in place to be able to put a stop to it that sounds like a good answer to no

problem right sure why not absolutely in 2019

almost eight months after that statement was made public in 2019

um oceanic canada did the same test again

and they sampled the same 400 pieces of

seafood from 170 locations

from coast to coast and guess what folks god bless the federal government because they

obviously did something because the test results

were one percent better only 48 of the product was fraudulent

so it worked oh wait a minute oh hang on oh wait wait let me read that oh

oh the federal government actually didn't do anything after they promised to look into it

the second time that the results were made public they said oh no no we're still working we're still working on

that system we're going to clean it up for you so bottom line is this here's what's

happening in canada by the way and i don't want to get political because we're in the middle of a campaign god forbid should i have any of influence

over anybody out there to to you know help you decide which way to vote but one thing i will tell you is that our

government is involved in the corruption this this is not just

something that canada owns um a lot of other countries are involved in this seafood piracy act thing that's

going on right now and that is that we're exploiting first of all third world countries to actually do the

harvesting for us a lot of cases it's slavery nothing short of slavery you've got to look into

it to believe it the way they the methods that they use and harvesting of the seafood is nothing

short of of modern age slavery but then because everybody's paying off

somebody who's paying off somebody who's paying off somebody they don't even have to be responsible

for telling us what the fish is so whatever's left in the bottom of the hole at the end of the day let's call

that crab for the sake of of today's catch and package it all up under crab

and nobody knows the better which is maybe most of you are saying

yeah you know what it's okay i mean as long as i'm not going to die from it who cares you're not canadian that's the way

i am in canada who cares you're screwing me out of 50 yeah they're screwing i'll tell you why because i love chilean sea

bass it's one of my favorite meals to prepare at home chilean sea dust

which depending on the time of year and where you buy it could cost you anywhere from 25 to 35 dollars a pound

well one of the things that they discovered during this test this is a good one is that 49 of the damn chilean sea bass

that i've been eating 49 is catfish

from a pond oh my god

what's another good one how about that lovely white tuna that we love on sushi mmm yum yum i love that

how are you for sushi pretty uh pretty damn awesome i have to say okay well here's one that you'd all need to look up

fifty percent of the white tuna that we consume in canada is a fish called

escolar escolar never heard of it go check that one out you'll throw up in your socks

immediately knowing that you consume that half the time it's been banned in several

countries including one of the highest seafood consuming nations japan and here in canada it's toxic we even know we're

eating it it's toxic you know how many times you've had sushi and one one person at the party you know goes home

and says oh how are you feeling no i'm fine oh i'm not feeling too good chances are it was escolar

because it's toxic but we don't care we're canadians who cares you know sometimes it doesn't

bother me i i'm good i'm good with all that well i ain't good with it at all go

catch your own folks catching some walleye crappies a little bit of striped bass whatever some atlantic

salmon some pacific salmon get out of here that's the best way absolutely

absolutely and the reason we wanted to talk to you about the story is because it goes back to what we believe right from day one you know

fishing and keeping fish to consume as long as it's done properly properly managed meaning no more freezer loads of

fish that you're going to lose to to freezer burn but if you go out once a week

if you have the opportunity to catch a meal of fish and have it fresh caught

and now the best part about is you have proof that you should be doing that because

chances are half the fish you're consuming is illegal fraudulent and is going to make sick there you go

i'm done with that and speaking of fraudulent that kind of moves us into

our next our next nut story our next gripe a continuation

from our last actually we did it on the last feed too right about about some nefarious goings-on in this contest in

the great ontario uh getaway giveaway and we're still finding

people out there that are essentially cheating okay it's still happening out there the

more we look into this the more we're finding the more we're finding so it's it's

we're kind of glad that this contest is coming to an end we didn't expect this to happen because like ann said all the

time out of the goodness of this whole contest it was to help people go to

lodges that they never could afford it never would be able to get there and it's to help the operators that are in

dire need of help right now financial help that's what the whole intent of this was but

obviously there's criminals will be criminals i mean there's you know people there's

you know there's a negatives to everything there's always positives there's optimus there's pessimists there's all this so we're

finding this is getting deeper and deeper all the time so we want to bring this up before we go on to the next uh you know into the drawing so we're

quickly getting this out yeah i i i i i you know you use some pretty pretty

harsh words there cheating and criminals i don't know whether whether that

can be used in this case but certainly we can accuse people of

being maybe uh um um gluttonous would that be a good way to

put it okay that i didn't even include that there has been some cheating going on here yeah that's not to hide the fact

there's been some cheating going on in here so cheating but cheating only and sets going against the rules right yeah

yeah yeah but if you go against the rules cheating and if it was a real law you'd be going to jail you'd be a criminal so yeah but i know what

answer's saying about the beyond that just being a

i am shocked that my fellow anglers some fellow some a small percentage most

of you i love you i embrace you i'm i'm honored to be a part of your membership

all of the above so so this is certainly not a slight to our community

but i'm embarrassed to say that there are people within

that have participated in this contest to call themselves true sportsmen call themselves true outdoors people

anglers etc i'm embarrassed to say that that i i i i i'm shocked the greed factor the

green factor is shocking to me it's shocking to me i don't get it so

anyways we won't bore you with the details other than to tell you that

today we were scheduled after after we do our five finalists and award them their prizes

we were going to go into a quick little regroup and then we were going to make some

final draws to get rid of um whatever part of the budget the fund

was left we were going to do some draws live and award additional trips

however thank you to our team here

that brought this up to us um there is so much

crap in our drum right now as pete alluded to that is borderline

illegal downright cheating that we are not comfortable with doing

it live there's gonna be draws by the way there's money left over and there's a good amount of money left over just let everybody know that that's gonna

happen it is gonna happen however we're not doing it we're going to vet every single one that we draw

every single name that we draw out of that drum is going to be put through a process

that if you even have a speeding ticket

we're going to know about it how's that if that's what it's going to take in order for us to be able to sleep at

night knowing that what we thought was going to be this wonderful initiative and great program and something that we

could all embrace and enjoy and feel good during this shitty time that the pandemic has put on us

if it's going to take that for us to that's what we're going to do we're going to bet every single one of the winners until we are 100 sure that you

deserve yeah this great trade we don't want any of these trips going to

i think some of them already have to be honest with you but they have we know that but uh to go into people that don't

deserve it we want all those of you that are on this list that are watching and all the thousands of people that are on

the list that have done this in the honest way we're gonna try our best to give you and only you the chances at the

at the rest of the trips the ones that we have we've got people that have got 25 different email addresses and we're

trying to get down to one ipa we've got all kinds of stuff now is going on those are all they're gone they are out we are

throwing them out so happily we're not going to expose their names but we're going to get their asses out of this draw so they do not they will not win

anything for sure so that's what we're trying to do is clean it up and some of the stuff shame on us to be honest with

you some of it you know we kind of uh fostered it because quite frankly we

didn't have the wherewithal at the beginning of the event to figure out all

of the different ways that the scammers could scam yeah shame on us yeah yeah

shame on us we should have had all of those possibilities in front of us when

we worked with the team that built the contest and we could have at that point

instructed them better but we didn't what's our comment say there says we

know who has been dishonest and we are disappointed in both ourselves and the

dishonest that's us yeah right nick scroll down please in a new comment so we can see at least the fresher comments

you're you're getting behind on that one just just a little so anyways without further ado so you got

our you got our gist here folks we apologize we can't go live today it's the wrong thing to do going live because

then we will be giving away trips to people that don't deserve that's it and we don't want to do that we want all of

the trips that the folks from destination northern ontario funded we want all the trips to go to

people like wes exactly right and and uh and merv who

the who the brothers who who they just genuinely appreciate it they just

genuinely enjoyed it they embraced not just winning they embraced the entire experience

and they get it they understood we want to make sure as many of those people

win these prizes and that's why we've decided to uh not

do it live we're going to do it um this week we will be posting the lucky

winners and they will be lucky they'll be randomly drawn and beautifully vetted

they're going to be so beautifully squeaky clean

it's going to be scary absolutely the problem the biggest problem this

whole thing is we had the coolest little setup for a drum and all the sound effects

we spent time and money paying developers to come up with this great drum and they actually with our

fishing canada apostrophe fish on the on the tickets and no no because it was great there's all that that was to be

happening today and uh we can't do that because the cheaters stopped it and we spent all of last week proving sound

effects and visuals and and the way the drum roll because they were although it was virtual

it was physically like having the real drum you had every single one of the

ballads with people's names on in a virtual drum so it wasn't just a visual thing and you could see all those

tickets with people's names in the dramas it's like it was elaborate yeah so but anyways we will be posting

it uh on our website eventually we will post uh all the winners uh and what we're gonna do is we're going to go one

at a time we're going to pick a winner we're going to minus that from the money's left over and we're going to go again until we get down to a to a point

where we can't draw anymore so it's it's there should be a good amount of money we're not going to say how much it is but there should be a good amount of

draws coming back at the end there therefore oh yeah it'll be worth it so so anyways let's get on with today these

are today's uh final five winners

uh number one through five we're going to uh give you their name and we're going to give you a short synopsis of

their story and i believe we have a couple on maybe on we have a couple on i think the first winner we have actually on uh on on the show with us perfect um

the name uh is dale dunlop from wealth ontario and there's look at that picture that is

that's just worth it right there my god the captured on this was fantastic and

you can see daddy could i try how cool was that how many of us have

been in that position where you hear those words daddy or mommy can

i try yeah that is such a great moment in our lives as human beings and then to

have success like that oh my god you know what i mean thank you so the story i won't read at all but i'll give you a

couple of snippets from it an hour after a huge thunderstorm uh we decided to take our sun to our local river water

was so high and fast i didn't think our chances were great uh as it was an absolute deluge uh hours before cast

after cast up to cass with zero luck we decided to try a spot and if nothing we

were going to pack it all up and go home for the day my son being only four years old i was doing all the fishing but no

catching uh he the kid looked genuinely bored then out of nowhere he exclaimed

daddy can i try this lure without much thought i tied on the white x wrap oh there you

go you're welcome chris ockley chris hockley there you go um we're tied on

the uh white x-rat that he was holding thinking there wasn't much hope anyway

and i wanted to humor him well just like you guessed it sure enough i made a long cast for him and handed

him the rod 30 seconds later the kid is freaking out saying it's really hard to reel daddy that

sounds like me i thought he snagged and then the water

surface explodes with this giant river smallie jumping and shaking just trying to throw the hooks he reeled this guy in

all by himself and has been hooked ever since uh get them out young and they'll have

their own fishing stories to tell and that will last a lifetime this is our favorite fishing picture of him good

how are you doing guys you're doing great man hello uh congratulations both of you i'm assuming

uh the young man next to you is the little guy that we see on the screen yeah

he's grown up now he's a little lippier

um is it possible for you to take us back

can you remember that that very second where you first knew you had the fish on

well so like i felt a lot of tension in the rod like first it was just like a couple little nips you know and then

like it just started really hammering it so that's how i knew i had a fish i knew i wasn't snagged because if it was

snagged it wouldn't be pulling back yeah you're lucky you're you're lucky it was

a smallmouth too because it was anything else you might not have known but the fact that it's a small mouth there's so

you know in a river that's a fantastic how big was that fishing it looks pretty good i mean even though as a kid was it like a three four pounder yeah i'd say

about three three and a half maybe maybe four pounds nice wow nice fantastic good for you and

and and dad that moment that that you knew it was going to happen

because obviously it was a tough day by the judging by what you wrote it had been a really tough day

can you share with us the feeling you had when you finally knew that it was going to happen

oh it was it was pride um we actually have this picture blown up on our living room wall

so this this moment's kind of etched in our mind uh absolutely and from this day on this

that he's been hooked all he ever wants to do is play baseball or fish that is fantastic we got a conversion

there yeah that's excellent well it could work well you guys are going to take that experience

and you're going to multiply it by a billion because because the two of you and i'm assuming

i'm making this assumption now hopefully i'm not getting anybody in trouble i'm assuming that your fishing partner is sitting

next to you right now yeah we're gonna see if we can maybe add mom on to uh whatever wherever we are

excellent he's my fishing buddy before we make the draw and we haven't we haven't asked anybody

of this before because we we don't like people to be disappointed because it's a pretty

pretty big ask but if if it was a perfect world what species of fish would you like to

win a trip to gold catch a pike or musky

musky mean that's going to be a good chance because most of these lakes have one or the other right

so that's pretty good and you know what a young lady not a muskie what's that neither one of us have ever

boated a muskie so oh wow let's hope we'll cross the fingers for that guys can't guarantee it but we can hope with

you whatever we get guys excellent well said can i ask you just quickly i know it's

the end of the contest and you know obviously it's not going to help anybody out but it you know just for our own

peace of mind how did you manage to win what did you do because this is not an easy contest to

win legally yeah okay so what did you do i believe it was nick i spoke with on the phone this morning

um he said that there was a record number of boats uh i was absolutely relentless

i would shake down my work cafeteria break time you know all right i like your phones boys

we have two fantastic baseball teams that liam's been played on and we have recruited all the baseball

parents uh i went so far as to basically beg

people that i went to high school with and haven't seen for 25 years to vote and the response was pretty overwhelming

that is awesome i was relentless i spent two hours every morning sending out reminder messages

and having books confirmed back so it was it was a part-time job to win it legitimately nice that's good work buddy

that's dedication and that's you know we were trying to tell folks all along that it wasn't going to be easy it was going

to take a lot of hard work and that's exactly what what you just said we knew it was going to take that

to win any of these uh monthly segments for sure yeah we we ran an election campaign we were told we should probably

be campaign managers for some of the politicians yeah yeah for sure but we had a pretty

overwhelming response from family and friends we have a large family in well yeah it showed in the voting you

guys you did good numbers for sure yeah go ahead it was it was work for sure but

we appreciate it what were you saying i said it was work but we definitely

appreciate oh him your son pardon me something he sees a comment on the

screen from one of his uh friends moms there oh cool yeah oh nice we can't see the

new comments because jordan and nick won't let us go ahead i've already asked them to put the new comments for us but they won't do it so you guys are okay as

long as you guys can get them don't worry about us jordan and nick over there on our screen that we're looking at here that's fine

you know still not they still haven't done it they just

uh listen there's only one thing left to do you know that right yes sir

muskie hopefully biker muskie fighting what we got

you're gonna be in the pike boys you'll be in the pike for sure for sure pike and walleye guarantee

that's fantastic wow yeah you'll probably they they do outpost uh i think it's all about so your flight

uh from wawa to uh whatever camp you're gonna go to and this whatever they set you up that's all

they do is outpost they have no one they have no center location there's no lodge there's no nothing it's just a series of

outposts what's your son's name dale uh liam liam this is this this is the

lodging when you're in there you gotta remember that's the lodge where when angelo was standing on the side of the uh looking out with his coffee he

slipped and broke his foot on a rocks so that's one story for you

i broke my leg the first day in yeah dale flew us in and um the first day there the end of

the day i ended up breaking my ankle and he wasn't scheduled to come in and pick us up for another seven days so we we

toughed it out but yeah it doesn't matter where where you go um hawk air will

put you onto a body of water that you will have to alter your own

and it will be the most incredible experience that the two of you have ever had in your lives because you

will go through things and this is not just fishing related here i'm not just talking about catching vision because

that that goes without saying but you'll experience stuff

that that i can't even tell you about right now that that that you will say i didn't

even know this was possible the bonding that you guys will have on that trip and if mom comes along with a great bonus by

the way yeah um yeah my mom will be coming for sure we can't be bothered for something you will you will you will go

through things that you didn't even think were humanly possible just sitting out having that end of the day drink or

coffee or moment before you turn in every single night is an event

oh yeah it's an event that's amazing guys you'll love it you'll love it man

there you go guys congratulations you're in here thank you so much guys good morning good work all we ask you

guys to do is to to share this with as many people as you can let them know that that there is a little piece of

heaven and it's called northern ontario and we can all experience it and they

now they're gonna love it that's what it's all about right there the family the father and son and maybe the mother going into the into the beautiful algoma

area flying into an outpost camp oh my god that's what the whole event was for fantastic

fantastic all right number two who you got number two now we don't have these people with us right no i think we have

number two and number one and five right that wasn't good okay so number two won't be with us um

title was best solo muskie day this is a great story as well yeah his name is mark rennie and uh mark is obviously a

muskie aficionado so so this day was the best day i've ever had musky fishing solo i was fishing

my favorite kawartha lake i put on my favorite crankbait that i use all the time perch pattern of

course started the day off like i always do trolling within the first 10 minutes i hooked the first one nothing big but i

know it's going to be an epic day now the beautiful muskie released it right away started the motor up again and no

joke within 10 minutes again i hooked into my next muskie nothing nothing was over 40 inches but that day

i landed seven musky and missed two others that definitely were high 40s beauties we'll never forget this

incredible day wow that's quite a day wow so that's mark rennick that's uh you

know what that's we all know muskie are hard to catch sometimes they're easy to catch but not

very often right that's a day of all days that probably mark's probably fished his whole life to get a day like

that seven yeah yeah i don't care where you go exactly so that's fantastic so well so good for

him let's see where we uh can send them hopefully we get them a muskie lodge it'd be nice wouldn't that be great be

nice all right spinner nick

i don't forget we can't see this so you'll have to relay it to us

yes yes well mark you're not going to get

musky there that's the bad news is you won't get musky but the good news is you're going to get pike and the better news is you're going to get giant

walleye okay but better than that better than that and i know it's hard to

believe better than that because the walleye up there are breathtaking better net you're going to

be looked after by my opinion and i'm entitled to an opinion

one of the top operating operations in the country in terms of customer service you're going

to be looked after by the most incredible people you ever you'll ever be and and then they will stay with you the

rest of your life and they're going to share this wonderful experience you're going to have

right from beginning right to the end with you and i could not be happier could not be happier mark just to give

you a little something to look up if you look up uh raven ouellette she was our an earlier winner in our contest she

went to marmac which is the exact same lake a snoggie lake and you see what she did there for walleye her her husband or

boyfriend and you're going to see what you're going to get into fish-wise too so what a trip yeah congratulations and i

don't know how you're going to access it because you can either fly in or you can train in

uh the only thing i would suggest if you have the time

if you have the dave mclaughlin he says i just stepped away for two minutes anyway dave mclaughlin is the owner he's

on there with you right now um the only thing i can tell you is uh if you have the time

you got to try the train experience either going in preferably going in

rather than coming out because that in itself is something that you will never forget

and you will never ever forget so um look into that we did a train in one

time where i think via will never forget i think it changed the whole thing for those guys we were with

oh god anyways congratulations to mark rainey congratulations to dave mclaughlin and all the uh lodge 88 folks

because uh man i was i'm so happy that you guys won that's all i can fantastic

all right number three uh also not with us today uh her name is jenna and uh

she's from perth ontario and the title of her piece was uh fish

lover there's the pitcher right there how great is that shot that's an awesome shot fishing is my passion it's like therapy

to me when i'm on the water casting a line it's like nothing else exists

i've always dreamt about a fishing trip but i've never had the opportunity

help make the dream a reality and give me a vote short sweet and to the point and you

know what i got some votes that's for sure people read that and they were moved just like we are and they voted

for you and they voted for you big time and so congratulations jenna

i love the fact that is this therapy for me because you know what i wonder if i never really i've never thought of it

that way but it definitely is therapy for me when i get out there with friends or especially by myself i just like

oh it's a decompression mold you're just like it's just it is therapy it's therapeutic it's like

thank you i wonder if anybody ever had a nervous breakdown fishing i my pants when i saw a muskie one

time uh there's only one thing left to do and

that is find out where you're going to be enjoying and i'm assuming you're going to enjoy this trip with the

little lady that was with you on that shot that'd be nice we don't know yeah but let's find out nick where she's

anyway sorry about that um so this is one of those guys that we got to know

through this contest not because we've talked to them but we see we see the activity we see the enthusiasm

we see the level of commitment um you know he's he's every day he's there and

he's doing stuff not just this contest the captioning contest he's even more active in like he's like oh my god this

guy is insane he is a true true honest to goodness fishing canada fan oh

yeah and if there was such a thing as a gold level fan fishing cabinet fan uh this guy

would be one of them so we were thrilled to death to see him as as we

were you know getting to the finish line in month number five to see that he had finally made it go ahead

yeah so number four place with the title canoe come out canoe come out to play which is typical

of rick richard cork and rick gorkum that is just the way he talks he reminds me a lot of my dad his little puns and

everything that he lays out all the time rick's got a great story here so my craziest fish story would have been when

myself and my five buddies carried a canoe about a mile in over swamps and rough portaging to get to an early start

on a small lake with brook trout and perch after fishing for hours with not much

luck instead of a long and hard carry back out we came up with a plan a bad plan two trips down

two trips down the lake and three in a canoe a homemade canoe i went with i went with

the reverse strip about 200 feet from shore over she went all was lost including my new hip waders that i had

that i had on and rolled all the way up so he had hip waiters on a canoe not a

good idea right there the heavy duty ones for offshore fishing dragger use so

after kicking for all i was worth about 30 feet from shore i finally got them off and was going down to my with my

last breath like we shouldn't be laughing at this but we it's because it's wrecked you know what i mean so we gotta remember his waders are filling up

with water and weighing it down okay first thing you do one of my buds on shore had to jump in and save me it was

crazy so that's wow that's what a crazy story rick you're you're uh where are you buddy

there he is there's his head there's his hat hey how you doing

hey eric how are you buddy hanging in there ah boy

very excited great to finally almost see you yes right

well you know i i told folks that you you were totally committed to this contest right from day one and and i i

meant that we could see your level of enthusiasm we could see your activities and it was just a great and

and rick i got to tell you i know you were probably getting discouraged sometime

but you had two of your biggest fans right here rooting you on every single day we were hoping we were hoping we're

hoping and it happened man yeah right on it's hard to believe i'm

on like cloud 11. adam boy

what level of expertise do you have or experience i guess would be more appropriate in this neck of the woods

fishing in ontario none zero really

what do you what do you target out there in nova scotia rick

mostly speckled trout oh okay okay okay you haven't started

fishing any of the uh the the stripers that are coming in now

i don't get up in the bay of fundy much up that way okay right right how far are you from there

well i'm on the south shore that's uh like my home bay

chester okay well you're gonna be doing a little bit of traveling for this trip that you won that's for sure gonna have to get

that car in gear buddy so so you must have been thinking when you

entered the contest you must have said okay you know no matter where i go this is gonna involve

uh i'm gonna have to do some heavy lifting here to get there have you

spent time looking at a map thinking boy i'd like to maybe go there or i'd like to go that area or did you have any

preference at all i checked out some of the lodges i mean

they all seem nice i mean like i'm i'm just happy to get you know

go anywheres right good for you perfect i'm very professional i said most of the people are myself

go ahead and i didn't think i had any chance at winning because i don't have 14 kids to vote for me

yes that you know of yes you were one of the guys who complained the very first

day that we announced this contest now i remember ah rick

went public and he said well there's no chance of me ever winning because in order to win this contest you've got to

have at least 14 kids i remember that maybe he got real busy in the last month or two ahead of uh i

had a couple extras in the oven there so how did you win

how did you win uh just by just by looking forward to entering the

contest every day no it gave me you know something to you know to get up and then

enter every day and use my other four votes and

so i tried to vote for everyone you know good work buddy good you did it good for

you you dinner all right there's only one thing left to figure out rick

here we go let's see if we can get erika into something aside from spec he gives us

facts out there let's do anything be nice up here but let's see if we can get him a big pike or something

dude you are going to one of the best absolute best all-around fishing lakes

in all of ontario oh my god black sewell is such a phenomenal

fishery you're gonna of course it's walleye predominantly is the walleye but it's very close to that is the muskie is

the northern pike is the smallmouth bass it is just a a fantastic

fantastic lake it's also about as far away as you can go yeah from where you are

this is about as far away as you can go and still be in ontario you got to drive there buddy that's for sure you got a

bit of a drive ahead of you uh for you rick um who are you intending

on taking with you uh i'm just sure you

tell you the truth i'm sure i'll probably have a couple friends

what's going on i'm sure they'll line up to see if they can be your your choice rick's new buddy best buddy

well done buddy all right my friend listen congratulations great

south africa zimbabwe this is a great story i visited my granny who lived in the

rural areas and one day i went with my cousins in one of the big rivers that was close to the village close to the

village whilst fishing something big pulled my line and i almost lost my rod i grabbed

my bamboo rod and tried to land the monster i was losing the battle as i was

starting to get pulled into the river my cousins yelled for me to let go of the rod but i didn't want to and didn't

know why they wanted me to let it go one of my cousins ran to me and yanked the

rod pole out of my hands and let it go i was so furious and watched my pole

being dragged toward the deep end i asked my cousin why uh he did that and he told me that

what was on the other end of the line was not a fish but a mermaid but a mermaid

he said if i had held on i would have drowned how he knew i've no clue

lol but hey that's africa for you so anytime i'm fishing i always ask

myself do these creatures really exist or is it just a myth

you believe anything when you live when you live in a village well congratulations i believe wilfred

is on the line with us wilfred is he there that i thought number five was with us

okay sorry i wanted to talk to wilfred so bad about the mermaids he just seems like a fun

guy that story is so good too that's fantastic and nice having uh uh somebody from niagara falls win yes absolutely

anybody from that area so that's originally from zimbabwe that's so cool i guess we've got this so far this is

the way we've had that fantastic only one left one thing left all right is

million different directions we could go in uh we love the idea of of of

being able to give away these dream trips to people but we just need to find

probably a less stressful way stressful on us um

to do it so so we're gonna work really hard in the off season to come up with uh ways uh the folks

from noto uh lori by the way um and kate from noto

god love you guys because again people don't know how much work goes in behind the scenes and those two ladies

have been with us through this whole thing on the phones or on the skype or whatever you call it the zoom calls and

go to meetings it's been yeah they've been such a huge help absolutely a thrill so they're on rainy

river by the way that resort oh nice harris hill on rainy river

i'll tell you was it wilf wilfred the one that wilfred um part of my fishing growing up was on the rainy river my

grandma grandma bowman lived in imo ontario which is right on the rainy river and i used to walk down my when i

was young too young i'd have to go with my dad but when i got old enough i walked down to the riverbank and cast off the bank and catch either pike or

walleye or smallmouth i always caught something that's off the bank at emo i can't even imagine i mean that river is

huge he's going to be in for some fantastic fishing that's those are great prizes but that was that was a great week quick little story about that uh

when um i'd say the first 10 years of the fishing canada show so i'm going you

know from mid 80s to mid 90s when we were first traveling into you know these more remote remote parts of the country

and uh pete and i were just you know getting to know each other basically i know where this is going right now i

know it it became it became legendary but we could be in the middle of nowhere

i mean literally literally in the middle of nowhere you know unloading the boat or putting

our gear away for the day or or just starting our day or driving to the to

the lake or getting gas or it didn't matter we could be in the

middle of nowhere and somebody would come crawling out of the woodwork and saying hello to pete and it was a

long-lost aunt uncle cousin uh a second cousin uh some kind of relative he has

relatives in every rural corner of this province i'll guarantee you

there was somebody that was connected to the mystery it's funny that he said what he's saying it's kind of true because it would be a

kid would come hey pete you're my cousin and you're like who are you i didn't know these guys i don't even know these

people but somehow there's a relationship so it was funny but it was usually in the northern ontario areas you know what i mean was that uh sasha

hewitt she says she's so excited that they were drawn i'm assuming uh from from the last

draw which is fantastic anyway so yeah the the rainy river is uh is uh

wolf's is going to have a great trip now they're actually on uh uh lake of the woods oh uh lori just informed us

they're actually on lake of the woods i can't say you know what if you're gonna go anywhere but from the rainy river that's a good place to go you're going a

little farther resorts yeah wow fantastic

absolutely fantastic oh that's going to be great congratulations everybody

so anyways as as i was saying a couple of moments ago um we don't know where

it's going to take us but we're not done contesting by the way

don't worry that mercury thing was crazy that garment thing was crazy it was crazy successful and everybody loved it

and we and we love giving those prizes away so that is not going away we are going to make that even better our

commitment to you right now this very moment that we're going to toast to

is that we will come back bigger and better

than ever in terms of giveaways we don't know what it's going to look like because

clearly we discovered during this one that we do need to make some changes yeah and we will we'll do

our best to make it as fair as possible for the people that deserve it we will

try and weed out the bad and let everybody you know let's we can't maybe

do it all but we can certainly do our effort on it uh laurie says uh absolute pleasure working with the two of you and

all of the the folks in your offices as well as the wonderful folks at destination northern ontario love all

you guys and we we love you guys back absolutely or so even if that's possible

yeah it's been a great experience but let's not make it a postmortem here let's let's say that this is the

beginning of great adventures that we're going to be on uh as a group i think

i think um as we get through this silliness called the pandemic

and get on the other side i believe the travel industry the tourism business um is going to

rebuild itself it's going to um reshape and redefine what it is and who it is

and i i think we're going to be a part of it i certainly hope we're going to be a part of it

we'd love to be a part of it so that in mind um uh we uh we look forward to many more

events like this one by the way you're not done by the way lori here we still got some work to do to draw these other names okay i just let you and kate know

and and also because we forgot to because it was on my notes i just want to also take a moment

to throw an extra special thank you to a

couple of people who we take for granted and have

been for a while now during this event um and they are without question the

hardest working people during this event

the whole five months of it and that is our very own jordan popovich and my

grandson nikki v um without the two of them once again we would not be sitting here at all oh for

sure so even though we scream and yell at you and and bellyache and and complain

no ann screams and yells at you oh complains i never you guys know i don't scream and yell at you don't you nick

and george crap my boys anyways uh we appreciate you and this uh toast to you solo red cups in the shot glass for him

by the way i'll tell you the story behind this in a minute

let's see how that is oh that's pretty damn good that's not bad no that's pretty damn good not bad

at all to be honest with you so this set today that the boys uh that nick and jordan

put together is um it's not just by chance uh what's that uh choose to see

aggressive criticism not yelling at me that's the boys

this set uh was not by chance it's a set that we're working on for a

future not too distant future in fact i believe we're going to into production

here in the next couple of weeks on a new venture that pete and i will be

involved in and this is going to be the set that that is used or a version of what you're

seeing here today it's going to be a very interesting a very controversial

uh format and program uh doesn't mean we're not going to be

doing the fishing cash show doesn't mean that we're not going to be doing fishingcanada.com or the you know great

ontario getaway giveaways or all these other wonderful initiatives that we work on on on a daily basis that's still

ongoing but um we will be introducing uh thanks kate

uh uh we will be introducing a new uh program new product for you

to enjoy and it will be a a weekly product that's about all i can tell you right

now but it's pretty exciting we're really excited about it's a totally different format for us let me find it

promises to be uh very interesting good a good winter project for sure folks oh yeah for sure

for sure all right uh i think i hit all my notes guys believe it or not i got nothing left

here so be prepared we're going to put notices jordan and nick will put out notices via however they can email

social everything that once we have done all the our uh tabulating doing the draws taking the leftover money that's

left in the great ontario getaway giveaway and we will be posting that up on our website so we'll give you a link

it seems like the next couple of months uh fulfilling our commitments to uh television and internet uh

products so it's gonna be a very busy time for us before the snow blows hopefully we can get it all done before the snow blows

but we'll get one or two in the snow too what the hell you know what we haven't done that in how many years we're doing it we're doing it this year we're gonna

get we're gonna hit the ice i think it'd be great i'm gonna watch you with a chip uh like a chipper and you know a nice

chisel and about 14 inches of ice yeah and what will you be doing right there son
