0:00
hang on wait phone wait oh Jesus Christ I was pretty good there
0:06
you got to admit that was pretty good and now another exciting episode in The
0:12
Adventures of Outdoor Journal radio well howdy there welcome to the
0:18
program I'm Angelo Biola he is Peter Bowman happy New Year everybody that is it a new year already we're in the new
0:25
year now right uh Volvo over there uh Nick on vacation and Dean come on we
0:31
always got something different it's always W there Dean's there and Nick is got some kind of he's in school God only
0:38
knows where he probably makes all that crap up anyways I have no idea where he is uh welcome to the program uh we're
0:45
excited to have you here once again come on now interesting thank you see you're on you are on the buttons now he's he's
0:52
going to interrupt you all this whole
0:58
um an interesting program no we do not have a guest today well no not I have a
1:04
guest as you and you have a guest as me we have a guest what's the show about today Mr about no
1:09
guests about having no guests we got a popery whole mixture of everything so we got lots of news and Clint Eastwood's
1:16
involved too uh lots of news items and kind of uh current issues going on so
1:22
what does that mean I'm I'm curious at this point I just like to maybe throw this out there maybe to the audience what does it mean when obviously you
1:29
know this we're not a Mickey Mouse uh operation here we have bodies running all over the place we have staff and
1:36
payroll and stuff so it's not like it's a lack of resources what does it mean when we come on uh one of these podcasts
1:44
and say we don't have a guest this week does it was it is it by Design you think
1:51
or by Design oh it's by Design so so there were guests lined up we just said hey hey hey hey wait a minute yeah we're
1:57
we're okay no I'm just curious or they might have said hey wait a minute not
2:02
not this week maybe next year I'm just curious I'm asking the questions that the audience might be thinking and I'm
2:09
might like just you and I just like on the fish the Canada show I'm just asking I'm asking I need to know so Dean you're
2:16
saying that this is by Design yep three of our top five last year were just you guys so that means they like you more
2:24
than more than less yeah there you go okay who knew all right now we know so
2:29
now I don't have to worry when when I come on the mic and say we don't have a guest this week it's not because
2:35
somebody didn't do their job it's not because because we up our ratings that's why we need to up the rating so we need
2:41
to up the ratings so we'll have no guests when we need to get more audience
2:46
come on now I like that yeah see now I feel better I hope you do too cuz I I
2:51
need it to know anyways oh we're starting off well AR we
2:57
God help it's a new season it's a whole new year here so I I think we we by the
3:02
way you know I I don't want to say anything but you don't want to say anything but you're going to but I'm
3:08
going to it is the new year so that means that in certainly in this part of
3:14
the world that we live in it generally means it's winter
3:19
right so the question I'm looking at the screen now and I'm wondering I know why we're sporting the fish and Canada brand
3:27
because that's what we are and we we by the way uh have you been to the site
3:32
lately to the store there are more new things going up there every day but anyways I don't want I I my question is
3:40
it is winter I have a hoodie on sort of a winterish kind of a thing Mr Bowman on
3:45
the other hand is coming in in a nice little t-shirt that he should be maybe down in the Bahamas uh freestyling one
3:52
of those uh uh wind surfboards or something well vola's got a short short sleeve shirt on over there and Dean's
3:59
got like you like you guys are it's it's like a split right now I dress this way all the time though all year round do
4:04
you yeah and s i I do agree with you cuz if You' if you turn the heat on in this
4:10
place then i' I'd be feel better with this thing on heat issue thank you see I'm trying to sell the folks on on
4:17
wearing you know it's winter let's get the hoodies we got hoodies featured t-shirt we have hoodies featured on uh
4:23
the this the store I just I'm just throwing a lower a lower priced item out
4:28
there that's all what these are you know they're very attractive by the way I don't want to mislead people that you're not sporting well you you look very
4:35
attractive in that fishing can give me a hell yeah give me a hell yeah thank you
4:40
embroidery and everything on that AB absolutely buddy all right good I got it all over are you finished now are you
4:46
done it's out okay no guess and Pete's got a t-shirt on was this going to be like a pessimistic show number one way
4:53
by the way uh the new fishing cada season which is upon us as we speak on
4:58
global television Network on the Sportsman's Channel on wfn on YouTube everywhere now we are in
5:08
new season mode and I got to say I want to um U uh send a a a round of applause
5:16
to everybody who worked on the new series because it is stunning yeah it
5:22
looks great looks really good don't get overly excited about it relax I don't want you to break into a sweat or anything I'll take over from this point
5:28
it's stunning iFit I'm in the dictionary under Peckerhead Angelo's
5:36
photo is right here stunning stunning it's yeah you might want to
5:42
help me sell the notion I don't think I think it's going to sell itself it's so good it is uh every Saturday on global
5:49
television network coast to coast to coast in Canada Saturday's 8:00 a.m. except for the folks on the Left Coast
5:57
uh they get to sleep in and watch it at 10:30 God bless them God I wish you
6:02
that'd be so nice would God bless them uh the rest of us have the last time you slept till 10:30 on a
6:07
weekend aside from your New Year's Day yeah that one I think I went till noon I
6:13
you hit her pretty hard didn't you can't kid not that bad actually it wasn't that it wasn't I I uh I didn't if you're if
6:21
you're insinuating that I may have had one too many drinks New Year's Eve mhm I
6:27
really didn't you said you did I know but I've been analyzing it ever since
6:32
right I've been analyzing it you see what I got to go through you you really once you put it down on paper and start
6:38
drawing it out it wasn't that bad so it must have been the atmosphere the mood
6:44
the moment that I got wrapped up in that made me feel that way okay that's that's
6:50
what it was it wasn't the 40 Creek involved or anything like that was it there was there was but um a funny story
6:58
I'll share with you a little later on here about our good friend Stevie that's Wiki oh boy and his son Mikey oh who
7:04
went away uh with the family on a new year's vacation Mex Mexico and Mikey had
7:11
his first experience well there's lots of things
7:16
that could be Mikey's first experience especially in Mexico especially in Mexico uh no he got carried away with
7:22
the drinking and the story is just oh my God I'll give it some thought with I sh
7:29
Mikey might not like you Mikey might hate you so we'll see Mikey's pretty big now too so you might double cross him um
7:38
winter sale I mentioned the store earlier on well there is a winter sale going on as we speak you can see it right there the sign right here and it's
7:45
telling you there's all kinds of good things going on there make sure you get there and check it out Mr Bowman yes I
7:52
mean make sure you it's shop. fishing.com too we want to say that don't we oh you know yeah I think we should me uh listener feedback and this
8:01
one is coming from Mike Sutton Mike did he say where he's from Dean did he uh no he didn't no okay via tell us where
8:07
you're from yeah Mike doesn't hurt you know I me we just want to know where you know geographically you're situated uh
8:14
Mike is we were talking about bar trauma a couple probably two or three episodes ago or something like that how did we
8:20
get on that subject was last episode actually last episode okay that's what he said yeah yeah yeah a couple episodes
8:27
give or take my life doesn't matter anymore folks I'm just close that's all I got to be as close on anything uh I'm
8:34
so Mike's email U says he was uh he's watching a YouTube video yeah watching a
8:39
YouTube video okay and it completely it completely debunked that uh angling Buzz
8:44
which is a Linder a Lindner Lindner production that's a weird that's a weird word by the way the Allan Ron L
8:52
Lindner it's not l n d e r it's l n d n e r right that's right it's a weird one
8:57
yeah but hard to say too yes especially with Al andron to go see it twice their
9:03
production U they showed um well I'll read this actually yeah let's read
9:08
there's quite a few details which you should watch the video uh some factors were Time Out of Water this is bar
9:13
trauma so on crappies uh released into a confining cage and clipping the tails
9:19
plus he actually used Liv scope to confirm fish survival uh hope you can
9:25
discuss uh clarify this on the next podcast thanks Mike well I actually watched that it's funny you say that cuz
9:31
I watched that video at Mikey bur's house a couple weeks ago or a week ago whenever it came out we were just lot of
9:36
mikeys today in show yeah and uh and I watched that the first thing Time Out of
9:42
Water you and I have always said time out of water is crucial you catch that fish you should get it right back if
9:48
it's showing any signs of bar trauma if you get it back instantly that fish can get a big push and go straight down uh
9:53
into the water so the time of the water is very important obviously in that they were showing that this the I don't know
10:00
what this clipping of the tales was all about I don't cuz I didn't watch the lner production of it I just watched
10:05
this YouTube video of it so they they actually cut the top of the tail fin so they could identify the
10:13
fish again yeah which yeah which is dumb how how you going to and why clip that one I'm not I'm not sure but yeah I
10:21
think in the video Aaron talked about he showed a graph of what uh like how much
10:27
that affects the fish like to clip that part it was pretty like it's pretty any fin on a fish yeah is
10:36
critical for years we don't do it anymore to my knowledge for years we would clip fins to identify fish that
10:44
were being stocked by this group versus fish that are stocked by that group or versus you know what I mean it was uh by
10:50
Year too remember they said by year okay this years and so you clip this fin or you clip that fin I don't care what fin
10:56
you clip it's like cutting off your foot I mean let's be honest or an arm well a finger maybe well what do you mean a
11:03
finger a fin is an arm they they can't there's they did not take any the I
11:09
don't think they took any the important did they take the pectoral fins they take the pectoral fin hell yeah okay for
11:16
years all of our steel head that we're going into swiming around swi around with one arm so I I don't care what
11:22
anybody I don't mean to make fun of that by the way don't get me wrong um but if you cut off an appendage
11:30
on any living creature it's going to affect the way it performs I me it's not not necessarily
11:37
going to die but it's going to affect the way it perform so any study that requires is that it Dean that's the
11:42
actual study y those are the Nets they use anyways it was weird watching these it was weird how they how they released
11:48
a new net like that and the fish did uh I think some of them receeded
11:54
down but a lot of them went straight to the side of the net right Dean they went right to the side of the net and they just got discombobulated and came back
12:00
so what are we saying here am I understanding this correctly is we have an individual who
12:06
has his own agenda who is debunking another individual production
12:15
company on a study that was done on crappy the bigger issue was that the M&R
12:21
was involved with the other study with the angling bus study right and linders linders have been around for a million
12:27
years I have no reason to believe that they would knowingly do anything in terms of studies or research that would
12:34
be anything but the proper uh and effective way to what was the conclusion
12:40
of the lner's study did they say hey they can't be released these fish can the deeper ones pretty much can't be
12:47
released and that if you are fishing those you're better off keeping what you get and then moving on yes and versus
12:53
Aaron was saying he's releasing these fish well I watched him releasing these fish so something else Mike than your letter you said uh use Liv scope to
13:01
confirm fish survival that's incorrect Mike what what happened is you watched
13:06
the fish go back to the bottom of the lake that's not all you saw you no with Liv scope you watch that you watch the
13:13
fish go down the bot but that doesn't mean they survived no they could die within an hour two hours two days two
13:18
weeks whatever because of the bar we don't know that because an and I were talking about this earlier and that there's really not a lot that we've
13:25
heard from experts in the world of Barat trauma and freshw fish at least there isn't the reason being it is such a
13:33
difficult and subjective study and think engage depends it depends on which way
13:38
you want it to go I mean you you you really it it it's it's not what Mike says here is the way a lot of people are
13:45
just thinking that they see hey that fish went back to the bottom that's it that's good good right we all think it's
13:50
good yeah the fish has a chance a better chance than laying up under the ice there at the surface that's for sure um
13:56
so it's just it's very gray it's a very gray area so there just isn't enough uh information available we don't have the
14:03
technology available we don't have the scientists willing to invest the time
14:08
and effort and money into the studies and so anything that we see now we kind of have to take with a graen of salt use
14:15
a lot of common sense a lot of common sense and uh try and make the best of it
14:20
so I did a um the last trip the Mikey and I were out in in the boat um I kept
14:27
some nice smaller small walleye it had three in the in the box and two of them were upside down so I thought and I have
14:33
a fizzing needle and I've never used it you know that you and I like that I had a fizzing needle got out in the boat
14:39
pull up a YouTube Ted takasaki is a tourn Walley tournament angler at that and I you know what the hell I'm going
14:45
to keep these fish these fish are going to die right cuz I'm going to I'm going to fillet them so put the got leg up put
14:50
that put the thing all of a sudden you see the air flowing out of the belly like that like that 15 minutes later you
14:57
look down there and they're just happy as hell in that Al live will just swimming around like best thing ever
15:03
just to to practice it right you know I mean the end result of those fish is in the frying pan but no matter what they
15:09
fried up good they fried up ex but you know what the freakiest part of that whole thing was is when I grabbed that
15:16
fish to Fizz those two little fish and they were they weren't big they were small ones like three Pounders when I grabbed those fish to Fizz they've just
15:23
really laid there kind of Lac aicle and did nothing as I was fizzing you could
15:29
start to feel them getting some strength back strength back and by the time it was almost done they were like wanting
15:35
they so this this air in the must how long how long did it take you minute maybe something like that I'm
15:42
I'm just guessing I'll tell you what it was cold on the hands cuz the water was 38° it was nasty on the hands in a light
15:48
well but but when you when you let them go they look like a different fish it's just totally and how did you determine
15:55
the uh proper entry point how did you through that video I watched the video and I just took a chance on this what you know he's does
16:02
the way he does with Walle versus like it's a very different place than with small M Fisher Smallmouth Anglers take a
16:08
the fourth uh spiny dorsal fin to the anus
16:13
and take a line there and then they go back from the pital fin to that intersecting line and that's their spot
16:20
to do it on but this one was more like it was about an in inch forward of the anus and then over towards just towards
16:26
where the white of the belly meets the color of the scales just popped it in there
16:31
and the old bubbles just started flowing freaky yeah and the fish just came right to life like honestly it turned those
16:38
fish from zombies into athletes that's the that was crazy in that sense wow
16:44
okay that's a positive thing for sure well they've been doing it for a while they've been fizzing this Walley during
16:50
Walley tournaments forever right so yeah so anyway all right that's uh an
16:55
interesting subject Al together we we can we Point get somebody on here that can maybe shed some light on I think
17:02
we'll get a couple people CU I think the opinions are all over the place yeah we should talk to a few I think for
17:08
sure um speaking of Catch and Release yes which we were thank you Mike
17:14
by the way for sending that if you have any uh any questions like Mike did there uh he obviously saw something that he
17:20
wasn't completely clear on so he said let me talk to the boys and see what they can come up with and we did uh but
17:27
you to can join in on that if you've got a question that relates to fishing the outdoors anything that we might have
17:34
some Intel on by all means give us a shout via email is that the only way they can reach us this one was on
17:40
YouTube I Believe in the comments on YouTube I got this from it says via email here Mike Sutton via email okay
17:47
maybe that's one was on email I you were set my Dean up we you were him up there
17:53
I'm I'm just looking right there it says uh and I'm assuming now I could be wrong
17:58
and please correct me because I know you have several assistants that work for you here yeah um in in interns but um
18:05
I'm assuming that you gave them the directions on writing these this if it's
18:12
in there it's correct everything in there is correct oh so it was via email then it was yeah ah okay so I remember
18:17
now ah so it just came to you okay good hey the dean machine
18:25
busted anyways thanks Mike and anybody else you can reach us via email or
18:30
whatever Dean deems to be appropriate at the time Instagram Facebook or YouTube
18:37
comments there you go there you go okay uh more on catch and release on fishing
18:43
canada.com now let's not get that wrong too right it was that is the intention
18:49
uh there's a three-part series that's going on right now about and has you know it's kind of connected to Mike's
18:56
question I guess uh three-part series uh history of catch and release uh is the
19:01
first part number two is effectiveness of catch and and once again you know
19:06
even that question needs to be asked over and over and over and over again
19:12
because because there is no definitive answer right because well we know some fish you catch them and you know that
19:19
they've been hooked before or whatever so you know that that fish individual fish catch work work but it doesn't mean every fish it works out right so you
19:26
have to and you know what the secret here is I think they the key to all of this and we've discussed this before and
19:32
we just discussed it again uh a few minutes ago depth the dep huge because I
19:38
know from personal experiences and I'm talking with largemouth bass now not Smallmouth or
19:45
walleye or anything else but I'm talking specifically with largemouth bass that shallow water largemouth bass and
19:51
shallow water can be it's kind of relative to what you believe is shallow
19:57
but you know we're talking talking anywhere from from 2T to 8 ft let's call
20:03
that shallow water and anything beyond 8 ft we start maybe calling it mid mid um
20:09
depth but anything in shallow water as it pertains to largemouth bass I can tell you from personal experiences that
20:16
the release success is nothing short of amazing phenomenal being reason being is
20:22
because we've caught those fish again from the same spot absolutely they or
20:28
weeks later so or years later years have one fish that I a large mouth that in
20:35
about 10 ft of water eight8 to 10 ft I caught three times and I know it's was the same fish and that was over a span of seven years yeah they live there
20:42
that's home that's home they know and it's got markings on it so and I've released that fish two other times I got
20:47
the third time so yeah absolutely large is a great example for a Survivor right
20:52
they are like uh zombie fish they just they just go and go and go right so
20:58
perfect release uh specimen if you're doing a release study Catch and Release
21:04
study a large mouth are good to work with if you want that study to prove conclusively that they will survive and
21:11
go on and Thrive and reproduce and all that stuff however two things there the
21:16
species and the depth if you take those two off the table I think most of the
21:22
other studies and information certainly that I'm familiar with are I use the
21:28
word subjective because it depends on where the author of that study wants to
21:33
take you if he's on the side The Catch and Release works the study is going to take you to proving you know positively
21:41
that it works if that study is being done by somebody who is anti- fishing and anti- releasing a fish that study it
21:49
can be turned to prove that we shouldn't be fishing or should not be releasing
21:55
fish that's why I say there objective there is not a study yet that I'm familiar with that is scientifically
22:02
based uh and without a Shadow of Doubt will tell you that that the Catch and
22:08
Release success rate is uh the scales are balanced on the
22:14
fishes side that it will that it will survive yeah and then you add that 30
22:19
foot level of Barat traum no matter what fish that's where the big you know controversy comes in for sure so but
22:25
like and the last part of that is ethics of catch and releas what one thing that Angela VOA and Reno I think used to say
22:31
all the time and uh and it just makes so much sense is that if I don't throw that
22:37
back that fish back he's dead if I release that fish and it swims away he's got a chance of living so
22:43
that's the way you got to look at yeah you remove all doubt you want to remove all doubt about Catch and Release don't release any fish kill everything that
22:50
you catch yeah now we removed all doubt that that fish is definitely not going to survive put them back in the water
22:56
yeah right there's a good chance Y and that's part of the ethics but anyway it's an interesting three-part article
23:02
on fishing canada.com and uh the title is um Catch
23:07
and Release the history of Catch and Release so check it out uh podcast Network Mr Bulma look at
23:13
us grow woohoo yes and there and then the the
23:19
highlight of this is you could win a trip of a lifetime um to Nordic Point
23:24
Lodge so Northwestern Ontario we're going there this year actually Sho up there this year um will Pelosi
23:31
will and Christa are uh have been generous enough to donate a trip for two
23:36
uh four nights three-day package at their place all inclusive boat motor uh all your food everything goes uh with
23:43
this trip uh fantastic and the lake is is nothing short of phenomenal it's got
23:49
Walle it's got musky it's got northern pike it's got smallmouth bass I think
23:54
he's got crappie in it too if I'm not mistaken and good numbers and and good sizes of each fish too so um on fishing
24:01
canada.com this is a $4,300 US value yeah $6,000 by the way by the way um just yet another great
24:08
Prize Package uh that uh we've been given our a chance for our audience and as you're listening there may still be
24:15
avails on getting uh in on the contest because it expires the end of January so
24:23
if uh if you're listening to this chances are real good you can go over to fishing canada.com as we speak and make
24:30
sure that you are entered in this wonderful contest uh give it a shot four
24:36
night three days to Paradise there's an interesting story on the next story this is why you give it a shot because the
24:41
next part of this Daniel kolino is that the way you say that kolino kolino see
24:47
from Richmond Richmond Hill Ontario that was good that was very good Budd uh just one
24:54
I think it was yesterday or day before Dean yesterday one our G lives goope plus
25:00
package and what a great prize but the reason I said that is Daniel was shocked
25:06
when Dean called him so Daniel was he didn't like he just he didn't believe it he's just what I what I did I I yeah
25:14
dude you won you won you won he was so happy so what I'm trying to say is that anybody can win now Daniel put a lot of
25:20
entries in he tried his Dam just to win and guess what he won good job Daniel so
25:26
uh anybody can win even with one entry but I mean the whole point is that you're not going to say oh I'm not going
25:32
to win that because somebody's got to win it but you make it sound like it's a real chore it's not a chore to enter and
25:38
to have like I just want people to enter I'm saying the people that get intimidated and they say ah I'm not going to win well cuz I read an email
25:45
from somebody I don't know how I got it but somehow I ended up with an email from one of our contestant goers and he
25:53
was actually complaining you you know well if you'd make the contest easier to
26:00
enter it might make it a fair contest for people like me that don't like to
26:06
put any effort into winning things at all like we I just think I think I
26:12
should just be able to sit here and you should send me stuff that was basically
26:17
what his letter was you know what I'm talking about right if you would make it easier more people would enter well
26:24
guess what it's only the biggest contest in the nation in our industry so I don't
26:29
know how much bigger we can make it there's millions of ballots being cast every month into this thing so I don't
26:36
know how much bigger we can make it or how much easier we can make it is that the guy that complains about everything
26:42
is that the same guy no no no that's that's another one that's another one God love you and you know if you're
26:48
watching this podcast and you're one of those people we're not being mean and angry or anything like that we're just
26:54
you know pointing things making a point because it behooves me
27:00
how here's here's what I'm thinking here we go here's what I thought as I was reading that that letter from him I was
27:07
thinking it was a him right it wasn't a her it was no it was a him it was a him I was thinking there was more effort and
27:13
time spent composing that piece of literature because it was very well
27:19
written it was more time spent the time he spent doing that letter and sending
27:26
it out to us he could have had 100 free entries into the contest I figured it out he could have actually had 100 free
27:35
entries the time it took him to complain about how hard it was to get an entry into our contest he could have had 100
27:41
of them so I don't know I don't know I don't know what to tell you I mean I
27:47
mean it's Daniel has proof that hard work will pay off or could pay off right he he put a lot of entries in so it's
27:55
it's up to you just you can't win without being in that's just get some entries in there work at it is that
28:00
we're pushing a million dollars worth of goodies that we've given away in two years on that two or three years two or
28:07
three years wow it's 100,000 just in Ontario giveaways uh uh trips what nine
28:12
Motors at one nine outboard motors a boat motor trailer I don't know how many Garmin units we have given away I don't
28:19
know how many Coleman tents we've given away I I have no idea all I know is that we're pushing the million dollar
28:25
markting and uh and fantastic we love doing it because it is really great to
28:30
read uh comments from people like Daniel uh kolino see see that's from Richmond Hill
28:39
and thank you for putting that in there Daniel from Richmond Hill or no actually we knew because we had the we're going to be no we don't have to send the
28:45
product that goes out directly from yeah but I sent the address to Garmin oh you had to send them the address okay anyways who won a live scope plus
28:52
congratulations and uh thank you for good work buddy good work Daniel keep it up nice nicely done
29:00
okay I'm tired now from all that work see we haven't even got to the meat and potatoes yet I'm tired look at all this
29:05
stuff we got you're going have to pick up some of the slack here cuz man I'm Bush I may have to I may have to take a
29:11
break I don't know excuse me he did that already there you go no but no we got
29:17
more uh this is high-tech on fishing Canada uh com again and we have high-tech hard water how to use Liv
29:23
scope for ice fishing it's another great piece on there so it's a full breakdown technology you know the real well we
29:29
we've talked about Liv scope engine uh tons of times we use it mostly 99% on
29:35
the open water but we have used it on the through the ice too and it's just as effective through the ice it really is I
29:41
think it might be more effective well you have less movement to worry about that's the thing that's the whole key about it your transducer is dead still
29:49
until you turn it or or maneuver it but if it's if you're not if you're pointing in the right direction all that can
29:55
happen is you can see Fish you know what I mean yeah Prett Co the fact that you're stationary I think is the
30:00
important thing there because when you're on the nose of a boat the boat no matter how you've got it locked in the
30:06
boat's got some movement right whereas when you're sitting on the ice you're stationary so if that transducer is
30:13
pointing to your right it's to your right there's no
30:18
mistaking where that fish is and when you move it there's no mistaken to where you're moving it to on the boat there's
30:24
a little boat movan variances that that M but on you got to learn on your boat
30:29
you have to there's more of a learning curve right there's more of a learning curve for to figure out where they are
30:34
where I got to point it where I got to cast etc etc when you're on the ice yeah it's a whole different story like that
30:39
and then the best part about lives scope on the ice is you get to your area is
30:45
you just punch a hole everybody's pretty much got a decent augur nowadays you punch a hole you drop your Liv scope
30:50
transducer in you start spinning around 360° and you look for where you where the fish are that does help a lot you
30:56
know what I mean that's like hey there's or even a weed bed or a rock there's a couple rock pile you know a couple rocks in a pile you just point to it say okay
31:03
I'm going to go fish over there you you mark it at 50 ft on your or Mark we how accurate how accurate do you think that
31:09
is where it says you know 50 ft it's very you think it's it's ACC to the
31:15
point where you could actually measure off 50 ft on the surf on the ice yeah I've seen it say and say that is exactly
31:23
where that there's been a couple of studies there's been a couple of studies not only that but on the angle shooting out too I always thought the the
31:29
transducer shot a straight angle when Garmin first told us it's not it's it goes out in almost
31:36
an angle angular so like a cone like a regular transduc almost like a cone in that sense yeah it's wider the at the F
31:42
farther point is uh what these guys are doing can they're proving that on the ice is the best way of proving that because now you walk out there and then
31:49
you go oh my God at 30 ft they're you you see the drop something down the holes right here at 50 ft oh you can
31:57
drop them out here you can see you know you turn your the the width of the cone or whatever you want to call interesting
32:02
yeah it's very interesting have we talked to the folks at Garmin about that at all I have not no perhaps maybe we
32:08
should well or we just go do our own experiments and learn on our own too that's kind of fun too it is kind of fun
32:15
that sense so anyways Liv scope on the on on the ice for ice fishing if you can
32:21
afford it oh you better get it that's all I can say and and I think we're from my perspective where it
32:28
really pays off too is in being able to determine the size of the fish that you're seeing yeah it does it does and
32:35
what's fishable and what's not fishable or what what you're what you're after what you're not after I think that is a
32:42
big breakthrough with this technology as well and groups of fish like panfish crappies you know I mean you're looking
32:47
at a couple fish individual fish over there they might be perch you see this big ball of fish they say well that's probably crappies right there so yeah
32:53
there there so it's so much fun that's all I can say it is is so much fun to fish with it it's like just a whole new
33:00
game probably even more so through the ice now that I think of it because let's be honest for the most part ice fishing
33:05
unless you're on to the the mother load of of fish it it's not the most exciting
33:11
form of angling right uh you have to entertain yourself in other ways well I think this technology kind of oh
33:19
absolutely changes that right when they first introduced fish finders in general flashers to ice fishing it made a whole
33:25
new game for everybody because now you're kind of concentrated like when when I was a kid I say I've said this a thousand times when I was a kid and I
33:31
used to go ice fishing with my dad it was horror I I hated it because I go out
33:36
he drill me a hole and i' stand there for the day the whole day and you just
33:42
think about how just dumb that is like like it's just like oh my god when I think of it today I think my god dad
33:48
why' you do that to me you know punishment it's punishment he's probably up there drinking a beer having a crack of
33:54
whiskey or something going uh but nowadays it's so much fun so much more fun you know what I mean I've I've
34:00
literally I did rainbow trout one year ice fishing and I I have my Liv scope
34:06
set up on my hole in the Hut and on my set line out so you can run it in a
34:11
straight line like that and I had both lines and I saw rainbow truck go over to my line was 40 feet away I saw the fish
34:17
come over grab it the tip up wet and I had to run out I I knew the it was just it's just fun to watch you know what I
34:22
mean it's like it's I would have saw that tip up go anyways well I might not have was kind of line of sight with with the
34:29
door open but it was so cool just to watch that and and uh there's so many sto I'm sure Dean's got stories I got I
34:35
got another rainbow trout story where they I dropped the Liv scope transducer down looked around and I saw two fish in
34:42
40 ft of water 5 ft under the ice went over to that area dropped down and caught one of them it was so cool 5T
34:49
down and 40t of water I never would have thought that apparently never would have caught them you never would have seen dropped way past them and been all the
34:55
way to the bottom and J jig J up whatever so any fascinating article it's on fishing canada.com as we speak it's
35:02
called high-tech hardwater uh how to use Liv scope for ice fishing and there is a
35:08
learning curve uh this will help you tremendously to get to buy the certainly the basics on how to use it and a little
35:15
bit beyond as well so check it out all on fish.com that is the portal the
35:20
gateway to your next fishing Adventure come on now thank you we do have another live scope T I don't know if you guys
35:26
want touch on it now the live scope stuff we've been getting sent in the two arguments we're going to do that uh do
35:32
you want to do it now and you know what subject while we're on the subject okay so let's do that thank you for bringing
35:39
that up that's Dean Taylor by the way producer sitting behind big desk over there the big screen we got to get a
35:45
camera can we afford a camera at some point to get you a little more exposure I've had exposure on One show that was
35:51
not for you yeah oh okay you you obviously didn't like the commentary
35:56
that came from it obviously oh my goodness all right so
36:02
there was uh uh April of this past year there was a uh there's an annual Consortium of uh Department of fisheries
36:09
and uh Wildlife Resource officers in Washington DC they get together once a year and he kind of talk you know it's a
36:16
lay of the land it's a state of the union whatever you want to call it they go over things that have cropped up in
36:22
the previous year that they think are enough um there's enough interest in
36:27
that they should start looking into it and this particular April um the um
36:34
fisheries management folks uh started seriously considering removing the use
36:40
of realtime imagery which is what we're talking about just now through the ice
36:46
um removing that kind of Technology because
36:54
it might be an unfair advantage to Anglers was basically what the the and
37:00
they call call real time they didn't call It Forward viewing no they call it real time Imaging as a means of Legally
37:06
catching fish and at least at least 12 States now are looking into it which is
37:13
kind of uh alarming that is alarming alarming because the way they're wording that to be honest with you is that means
37:20
flashers that means the amplitude scale on your traditional screen as well as
37:27
all this that that won't give you real time though will it yes will real time it gives you absolute real time a
37:32
flasher is Right instant under the water flasher is the Flasher is the amplitude scale there that little one on the side it's exactly what it is is a flasher it
37:39
is it kind like that and then and then you got so they if they're trying to ban all that stuff well I mean I don't know
37:44
if that's what their game is or if it's TR be forward viewing you know they're looking at it right now there are 12
37:50
states that have taken this recommendation to heart and are I'm assuming uh running studies of their own
37:57
and they meet again in April of 24 so in a couple months 24 in a couple months they'll be reconvening and saying okay
38:04
so what do you think and it's alarming can they stop that do you think can they stop they can do anything they want it's
38:10
fish and wildlife I mean they can do anything they want they have more they have more power than than regular um uh
38:17
police enforcement me conservation is which is good and it should be that way
38:23
yeah what I take objection to though is um where do you draw the line like how
38:30
we're drawing the line right now at real time Imaging but you know if we go
38:35
backwards in time say well maybe all the way back to a fishing boat you could say
38:41
well a fishing boat gave Anglers unfair Advantage when they were used to fishing
38:47
from the bank and now all of a sudden they can access the water yeah why didn't somebody back then say hey hey
38:54
hey hey hey wait a minute mhm yeah right we got to study this but anyways yeah there that could go on forever you're
39:00
allowed two lines in the great legs well why are you allow two lines we should be only doing one line you know I mean there's there's all kinds of uh two
39:08
thoughts on this one um a lot of folks have come out and said
39:14
that things like Liv scope um or I mean that falls under the
39:19
real time Imaging that that the conservation officers are looking at a
39:24
lot of people say that that kind of technology um allows Anglers who might
39:31
not be able to afford the big fancy $150,000 fishing rigs that a lot of
39:38
Anglers are using they don't need them anymore a lot of people are saying you know what that that's gone by the
39:45
wayside because I can take my little 16t skiff and now for you know a couple of
39:51
thousand bucks give or take I can rig that baby up to be as efficient a fish
39:57
catching machine as those big $200,000 MH units yep so it opens the
40:05
door for less fortunate Anglers to participate in in this exciting new form of that's a great Point spend two grand
40:12
instead of 200,000 Grand you know that's or 150,000 yeah that's that's great your own boat your own setup that you've had
40:19
for 20 years you could it sounds great I mean really it's relative I mean you
40:25
instead of50 000 you spend say 3,000 bucks and you can get yourself pretty well fixed up yeah with with this type
40:33
of thing the counterargument to that will be if it hasn't already
40:38
started will be the fact that holy crap that means that we now are going to have
40:45
an army of well equipped fishing soldiers that are going to be out there
40:52
catching and interacting with our fish what's that going to mean to that
40:57
resource what's it going to do to the fishery right if we have that many more
41:02
and I have to I have to believe if if everything went well there would be I'm
41:07
going to say 10 maybe 20 times more effective Anglers out on the water catching these fish and there are today
41:15
if this argument comes true what's that going to do to the
41:22
fishery now you see the legal part right now you say oh wait a minute wait a minute maybe we do need to look
41:28
at this and say I would hate that to happen I would hate to go from and I
41:34
don't care what that number is you know from from one to 100 effective Anglers
41:41
out there overnight with this technology and that's probably why they're looking
41:46
at it yeah yeah I would think to me like
41:52
again you and I have experienced firsthand and and I could I have to say that we're pretty good Anglers okay
41:58
we're not let's not say we're Bobby dazzler here that catches every fish in the lake but we're pretty good Anglers
42:04
and when we drop that Liv scope down and I even said it on one of the shows that's coming up we did a whole piece on
42:09
it on one of our TV shows coming up I think next week or something like that we saw 100 fish today and we caught two
42:15
of them or 50 fish today and we caught two of them MH you know what I mean so you're not I don't give a a damn I don't
42:22
give a [ __ ] rat ass a rat's ass who you are you're not catching a what you're seeing there you are not catching them
42:28
all okay I agree with that in the and this is again this is in deeper water situations in the shallower water
42:35
situations we don't even use it we use our instincts we go back to our instincts even in the deeper water we use our instincts but fact we don't even
42:41
use it in the shallow stuff so that's we're pounding those Banks like everybody else does and we're catching 20 or 30 fish and that's all perfectly
42:47
fine because you're doing that with just a spinner bait and you're rod and real well I don't know it's you know go ahead
42:53
you were going to say my argument to you on that is that if you take two
43:00
Anglers and put one of them on top of fish and one of them on top of empty
43:06
water mhm yeah the one that's on top of fish is going to outfish the other guy yep
43:13
all right well that's what this technology allows you to do of course that does of course it allows you to put
43:19
yourself where the fish are which we've said forever is the most important criteria it when when when playing this
43:26
game if you're fishing where they ain't I don't care what you throw at them I don't care how good you are or as Pete
43:33
just alluded to if you're you know Bobby dazzler it doesn't matter if there's no fish there you're not going to catch
43:39
them but if you're in an area that has fish and you're even a marginal anger
43:44
chances are you're going to make contact with the fish and hence the problem yeah I mean it could be the same as like you
43:51
could say the same thing for a GPS I could say an I found 100 fish on my Liv
43:57
scope yesterday and you don't have a life scope in your boat but here's the Waypoint boom go out there the next day
44:03
you and 40 your four your buddies go out now I didn't find them on life scope I just found them a school of fish you the
44:09
whole technology thing that like from a fish finder to a GPS to all that kind of stuff GPS has been a game changer in our
44:14
world absolutely Game Changer it's all part and partial to what we do right
44:20
it's our tools it's a give go ahead and uh wire up a house without any any tools you're and your tool belt there anch go
44:27
ahead and and fix that fix those Outlets with the a knife uh kitchen knife you
44:32
know what I mean you need the tools hey I'm not I'm not going to put up an argument because you know I love this technology I love using it and I think
44:39
it's wonderful with a putter sometimes you have to open your mind up though and you know both you guys said when I read
44:46
this piece about uh the conservation officers getting together and maybe you know thinking about banning it how come
44:53
well I just gave you I painted a picture for you as to what maybe is going on in their minds yeah they have to manage a
45:00
fishery it's it's and and each one of them has a jurisdiction that they have
45:05
to manage that inventory what they're looking at I'm sure is is if this
45:10
technology gets into everybody's boat yep and we take the marginal Anglers now
45:16
and put them on fish holy mackerel like what what's the impact that that could
45:22
have especially on a small body of water you know we're not talking you know the Great Lakes we may be talking small
45:28
bodies water how much yeah of this pressure can those fish sustain right
45:34
and I I I would find it hard to put up an argument on that I've seen uh I fished when I started learning Liv scope
45:40
I fished a small Lake um and I'm 100%
45:45
we'll say Catch and Release especially with the Liv scope I was bass fishing small I don't know the old clubber uh
45:50
well because I fish in small mou right so I don't I don't do that kind of stuff with my smallies so um first year I
45:57
found it discriminating you know that that's discrimination right no that's just selective harvest all right you
46:04
know just saying I like I like my pick roll as as Antonio and the boys would
46:09
say I like my pick roll they're GNA love that um uh so yeah I I I got onto the
46:15
Liv scope thing in my first season in a small Lake very confined Lake that you can pretty much fish the whole thing in
46:21
a in a weekend for sure mhm and uh and I got this thing down I said wow this life
46:27
scope is incredible yes I was putting I was catching fish that I would have never caught before absolutely the next
46:33
year I was having a harder time I thought why am I having a harder time hard time finding the fish the year
46:39
after that and to this day I think those fish got smarter cuz I didn't kill them there's no way I killed them and I know
46:46
they're still there because we catch them without seeing them a lot of times I cannot get on the same Liv scope
46:51
pattern on these small M which were suspended from 5 10 15 down cruising around they changed now I'm not saying I
46:58
caught them all but I caught a whack of them you know what I mean so I did catch a decent number of them and I can't get
47:04
it anymore now what changed those fish was it the pressure of me was it the lives scope beam going through was it
47:09
you know what I mean why do you think you're the only one who's capable of going on that lake with technology and catching fish well no I'm not saying
47:17
that I'm just saying that L why wouldn't you look at it that way why would you look at you think everybody else CAU these fish too oh my God you know well
47:24
on that Lake there might one other angler might be one other angler that has that yeah on that that techn this
47:30
lake is not a fished Lake this lake is a the water ski swimming and everything but fishing except for the peck roll
47:37
boys they go out and they like to troll them up and and catch them or or some musky guys they'll go out and Cat musk
47:43
sometimes you'd be surprised at the number of people that are accessing water and no there's I'm not the only
47:48
guy out there we have a great example A friend of ours owns a lodge um in Northern Ontario and there there used to
47:54
be this one wonderful little Portage into this tiny little piece of water I'm
48:00
talking tiny that had just an incredible speckle trout
48:06
population and it was fantastic well you know all of a sudden what happened there people started accessing it uh from
48:14
through the ice winter they're running their snow machines into this tiny little place and it's annihilated that
48:21
Lake yep like boom in a matter of 2 three years that lake is gone mhm so it
48:27
doesn't take much you said you said one other person well then my argument is going to be is if that person had
48:35
anywhere near the skills and talent that you have and the technology at his
48:41
fingertips her fingertips his whatever as you have then that's
48:47
100% increase yeah yeah in pressure on those fish 100% pressure for sure but I
48:53
know that guy doesn't keep them either he's another he's a releaser as well okay get very ethical he does the same
48:58
thing as me gets walleye he'll go there so to your second part of that question then is yeah if that's not the case if
49:04
you don't think there's other Anglers going in there with no there's others but there's not then then the answer is
49:10
yeah I think you've you've taught those fish well you have taught those fish well to avoid you you kick my ass I
49:17
kicked their ass the first time and that's it I have not want to fight in the last three years it's fre it's freaky it freaks me out how it was such
49:25
a solid pattern and I was telling my buddy I said God you got to come out here and I'm just going to show you these fish on this scope we don't have
49:30
to catch them I just want to show you this showed them wow that is so cool like that and it don't happen anymore
49:36
it's freaky and the fish are there cuz we get we get still get them more blind casting now than anything you know what
49:42
I mean yeah so we've you and I have talked about it in fact I've even said on a previous podcast that the next big
49:49
breakthrough in this uh real time imaging technology that we're talking
49:55
talking about or forward facing whatever you want to call it or Liv scope or whatever you want to call it the real
50:01
next breakthrough is going to be in being able to scramble the signal that
50:07
it's sending out because I do believe that you're right by the way I'm playing devil's advocate here but I do believe
50:13
you're right especially on small bodies of water I think you're training those
50:18
fish when they hear you hearing in this case is when you've got your your unit
50:24
on and you're blasting signal out towards them they know they know holy
50:29
mackerel last time I felt this it was not a good experience I saw that ugly guy up in that boat exactly and so they
50:36
disperse and I think the next breakthrough in this in this field is going to be uh scramble the signal
50:44
scramble the signal don't make it same every time you send a a different signal out so that the fish are not getting uh
50:51
acclimatized that' be cool if they could do that it's coming I know it's coming it's going to be yeah we're we're we're
50:57
we're almost there if it's coming that means your your theory is right if you're if it's if they're doing that it
51:03
means that fish feel the signals right of course they do you know what I mean you've done enough scuba diving to know
51:08
that you're as a human your senses down there are heightened everything that you
51:14
hear a little top in the floor of the boat up on the surface 30 ft away you
51:19
hear it down there you feel it whatever you want to call it you know it's happening imagine fish who are born and
51:25
raised in that environment they feel and hear everything oh yeah everything that's that you know what I I've always
51:31
said that uh the fish are on to us more than we think hence planer boards why would you use planer boards you know you
51:37
don't need if you didn't if fish didn't care about your boat You' be everyone would be rest straight behind the boat
51:42
drop them back there and catch them you know why why is that and and the other thing too that we've done through the years very effectively and not giving it
51:50
much thought was Catch and Release we'll go back to the Catch and Release thing how can we possibly
51:56
think how and we do it every we'll do it again this coming season I know we'll do it again how can we possibly think that
52:03
once we catch and release oh I don't know five six seven fish into that school of fish that we're fishing that
52:09
we haven't disrupted the entire school yeah how can we possibly think that
52:15
those fish that are going back in aren't giving off whatever it is that a fish
52:21
that has just been yanked out of its environment up into the up into the boat couple of ugly looking mugs laughing at
52:28
him say yeah take a picture or two put it back in water you don't think that fish is going back down and delivering
52:33
some kind of message oh my God hey don't eat that there's two [ __ ] up there
52:38
you don't want to see these guys so that's an issue too and I think more and more it's becoming evident in Tournament
52:45
Fishing yeah that uh you you keep releasing fish into a a school of fish
52:51
you're eventually you're going to Spook that school yeah I agree they have to give off some kind of a or some kind of
52:56
a signal which is cool I have no issues with that but we just need to understand that that's happening we need to put them in the live well Daddy well put
53:03
them in the box Daddy and then release them all afterwards certainly if you're in tournament mode now the reason
53:09
tournaments for the most part Outlaw that is because of that very exactly
53:15
thing right they don't want you stockpiling fish in your boat until you're ready to move to another spot and
53:21
then release them all because of of obviously the the chances of those fish
53:26
coming out of the Live Well healthy if you've got 10 or 15 or 20 fish in there uh is not very good so you know the
53:32
thing about tournaments there a lot of people poo poo them uh mostly
53:38
cottagers um have a very negative outlook on Tournament Fishing but I got to tell you right now that everything
53:44
that we have in terms of uh fish management we owe it all to tournaments
53:51
we owe it all to Ray Scott and all the boys back then Roland Martin and all those guys who who initiated this whole
53:57
tournament thing because it's much like Hunters uh to Ducks without those
54:03
Hunters who are the conservationists who go out and roll their sleeves up and get their hands dirty and manage the
54:10
resource and without them we'd have probably very few of them left that's right well tournament fishermen are
54:17
exactly the same they are the basis the Genesis of everything good that we've
54:22
got in our fishing management tools and all came from Tournament Fishing it didn't come from you and me sitting on
54:28
our dock in the weekend uh at the cottage bobbing for fish no
54:34
bobing no well catch and release remember when Ray Gott started B I said was catch and keep and they just said
54:41
okay wait a second this is not working right here we're ke we're keeping five 10 bass per person I think it was 10
54:47
bass per person back then and then all of a sudden they said we got to do something about this hey how about we uh
54:52
keep them alive and we throw them back or something like that and you know uh Rolan tells me stories about back in
54:58
those days because of course he he transcended that right he he was the Pioneer along with the a handful of
55:05
other tournament Anglers who who gave birth to this whole notion of live release uh but he tells me some of the
55:11
stories some of the you know they'd sit around drinking beers at the end of the day and and and come up with these ideas
55:18
about having water in a tank on the boat
55:23
wow and and and trying to Splash Roland tells me that they had this thing this
55:29
the paddler or something they called it and it was just a like a um um uh he
55:34
compared it to a pingpong rack uh paddle paddle yeah and they would use that like
55:40
they would have a timer on their watch and they would every 10 minutes go in spot yeah because they they figured that
55:46
they it it needed oxygen right and so with this little paddle and it was round and soft and I think Scott invented it
55:53
it wouldn't hurt because if you touched the fish with it it would wasn't going to hurt it was round and rubber and God
55:58
like like they that was that's what started this whole thing yeah yeah are
56:03
those guys you're right there's a lot that's been learned through tournament fisherman that's for sure I think everything everything we owe to them uh
56:11
without doubt anyways we're getting way behind well that's okay are we not it's
56:16
okay are we good Dean are we uh we're good we not to cut anything out here

58:18
uh 10 in Ontario rule changes where's that so that is the um Aloma yeah right
58:25
there there's so Su Mar over there see there Su Mar over there sbur over here
58:30
that whole wow that's norn big area isn't it yeah it's a big area okay and what they've done so what they've done
58:37
the first part of it is they've taken U they've shortened the walleye season oh
58:43
I guess so they dropped okay so they dropped the fish size limit now right
58:50
Dean yep yeah so there used to be one over 4 6 cm and then three under now
58:56
they're all they all have to be under so all four of them so they they're complaining that they can't keep a big one so these people that are opposed to
59:03
these new rules the new rues say so they've eliminated that one big fish big fish every every fish has got to be
59:09
under 18 I don't understand what why that was even allowed is it no I do
59:16
understand I I'll tell you my only the only thing that makes sense to me is if a guy catches that that fish of a
59:22
lifetime and he wants it on his wall that's why they but but that's P I know
59:29
you don't need that fish to be killed anymore to do that I know so they should just eliminate it right across the board
59:34
there's no fish trophy fish kept period I heard that for a while they thought
59:40
that fish aged out of spawning no like they don't but I
59:45
thought that like in the past that's why they had that rule was because they were under the impression that well if if
59:51
like if people age out of spawning and mammals age out of spawning fish must a Joe too but that's that's silly in this
59:57
case cuz that means a 19in walleye is done you know what I mean like it's no
1:00:02
there's no way 19 wall is done you know especially the females obviously the females what was the number that the guy
1:00:08
gave us Dean that years 18 in 18 Ines the male like that so they're basically trying to get you to get all male fish
1:00:14
or a combination but in that sense if that's what that's all about but there's
1:00:20
I don't know I I know if if you're watching and listening
1:00:25
and you have made contact with your personal best anything any spe I know I
1:00:31
know I know I know that you would love to take it home and show people and
1:00:39
share that moment with people and all that I know I know we're humans that's what we do which what we do on TV we we
1:00:47
do it on TV right um but it's just not smart it's not good
1:00:53
there's no benefit at all because take if you take the measurements carefully take the
1:01:00
measurements of that fish get a few good photos and then release it in the water
1:01:06
when you get home you can have that replica Mount done for you to the tea
1:01:12
yeah to the tea looks beautiful too they do great jobs nowadays and now you have
1:01:17
your trophy and you have two trophies you have the trophy on the wall and you have the trophy in your head that will
1:01:25
stay with you forever that you had a part in releasing that fish and chances are real good that that fish went on to
1:01:32
reproduce and you've got the pictures to show people when you want to put it on social media or like that so doesn't
1:01:37
make sense so I think more and more you're going to see this type of Regulation imposed um so so so so so we're fishing
1:01:47
in zone 10 yes we catch a walleye that's 20 Ines long that's got to go back right
1:01:54
yes y right now can we take a picture of that fish I know we started this one on
1:02:02
recent episode two because they have they have they they were studying that
1:02:07
they were they were asking for input at one point no it's not got this year is completely they're waiting till next
1:02:13
year now 2025 we're going to be 2025 will be the when the decision is made so what Peter is alluding to is that uh
1:02:20
there's been study conducted and it's ongoing as far as I know uh they want uh M&R in this part of the
1:02:28
country wants to know what you think about um no photography of fish that are
1:02:37
illegal illegal meaning in this case if it's over a certain size in another case
1:02:42
if if the season is not open for that species but you're there catching other fish that are open if you make contact
1:02:49
with the illegal fish should you be able to photograph that fish and that's what
1:02:57
they want to know yeah it's it's a matter of uh of uh of time it's an instant releases but the what the what
1:03:03
the rules state right now is that and I would believe it'd be here too if it was a 19 or 20in walleye you have to just
1:03:09
take him off the hook and throw them back without delaying any of the release that's what they're talking about so I
1:03:15
don't know if that'd be in this case or not I think it would be wouldn't it I can't see the memr beating you up for it
1:03:20
but but technically they've never enforced it though like with steel head you can't keep them most of the time but
1:03:27
people you take pictures my question to you though is to both of you how do I know that this fish is illegal in this
1:03:34
case I would have to bring it in the boat I would have to get out my board I would have to hold that fish 19 24 or 25
1:03:42
in you'd know it but so you're already you're already molesting that fish anyways right and you want to put it on
1:03:48
the board so you you keep it well yeah you have to you have no option it's closed if it's if it's centimeter under
1:03:55
you're going to keep that baby so I'm going to like you're already molesting the fish why would it be illegal then to
1:04:01
say hey joke take a picture that I want to said that home I can't see it I can't
1:04:06
see it at all yeah it's uh it's different hopefully they'll change that up and and give a little leway on that
1:04:12
so I think they have to they just right there that's a great Point how can I measure a fish how do I measure my fish
1:04:19
well you're supposed to estimate it what I are you kidding me I haven't caught anything all day I wanted
1:04:27
yeah absolutely the other thing they've done there in the winter season has also changed is shortened to to the U to the
1:04:34
third Sunday in March now yeah it was 31st so they've taken a
1:04:39
week off that season and that happens a lot now um I'm sure that all the Anglers
1:04:45
we they all get up in arms I remember when the zone2 did that um for Walley used to be the end of March right right
1:04:54
and then they moved it and they moved to the end of February they took a whole month away from the I not only the ice Anglers but to the Open Water Anglers
1:05:00
cuz we used to go out you and I I've done it before we put our boats in around the ice and and started fishing
1:05:05
away my God it was amazing fishing and they took that away so that's done a lot in in in the M&R and I think it's again
1:05:13
it's the management they're they're the ones with biologists right so they must have a reason for that they must say okay the Walley population is getting
1:05:20
lower here we have to do this we're going to take some Flack from the people but we have to do it that's the only reason I could see it right I don't know
1:05:26
why else would they shorten a season it has to be fish population right I would
1:05:31
think I wish I could just say give you a resounding hell yeah give me a hell yeah
1:05:38
I wish mhm but having been involved in some of this
1:05:46
process before uh when there's changes about to be made and seeing how the
1:05:51
process works I have to tell you I can't cannot give you a resounding hell yeah because I know I've been involved in a
1:05:57
lot of cases where science had nothing you know reasonable science had nothing to do with it it was just some person
1:06:04
and I with all due respect to scientists and biologists and all that stuff
1:06:09
sometimes it's a personal agenda I'm not I'm not suggesting that's what we're looking at here right but
1:06:16
sometimes it's it's it's not what you think it is and U and so you know you
1:06:22
get people that in this case we have push back uh from
1:06:27
this change proposed which it's supposed to take effect January 1st 24 so um now
1:06:33
right now it's in right now for this ice fishing so the push back uh Randy faucet a member of the executive of the Ala
1:06:40
ficient there's one more though wait what there's one more they also they also increased the Largemouth kill so
1:06:47
you can keep on a conservation license there normally it's six you can keep six
1:06:52
of the sporting license two two with the conservation license here they're giving you three large Mo or bass not large Mo
1:06:58
bass well we know what the hidden agenda there is though say that because it's important I think it's very important
1:07:05
there's still the the the the mentality that um bass should be eliminated bass
1:07:11
should be fished out bass should not be where they are bass bass or bad bass or
1:07:16
no good there's still that mentality and that's what I said about hidden agendas personal agendas and that's exactly what
1:07:22
that is that's exactly somebody in the system that says hey our lake trout are
1:07:27
getting eaten by a bass they put the emphasis on trout instead of bass you
1:07:32
know what I mean so that's what that is for sure so and that is so so wrong sad
1:07:38
I mean I mean on so many levels it's so wrong because you cannot suck and blow
1:07:46
at the same time you can't say that you're into conservation but only limited to one species and everything
1:07:52
else uh is frowned upon and should be eradicated you just can't you can't do that and work in that environment the
1:07:59
the the outdoors Wildlife Management you just can't you can't have that
1:08:04
mentality bass are here to stay they are not invading anything now there are
1:08:13
lakes that don't have bass in them and yes if some idiot introduces bass to that
1:08:20
environment then that person should be shot I agree maybe a little drastic might be a bit
1:08:26
drastic but yeah yeah but as far as the rest of it Nature has put those fish
1:08:32
there and nature is taking care of those fish we can't decide that no I don't like that it's going to go because I
1:08:38
don't happen to like them or I like trout or I like salmon or I like whatever look at the East Coast I mean
1:08:44
look what they're going through right now in this country I mean they they are blessed with things that you could only
1:08:51
dream jurisdictions could only dream of blessed with with great new burgeoning
1:08:58
recreational fishing opportunities that not only are there for the locals but
1:09:03
bring tourism dollars into these regions that are suffering bringing a lot of interest regenerating rejuvenating of of
1:09:09
an area that's been slowed down right right and yet we got some oh God forbid I use this word but
1:09:16
some clown up in Northern Ontario who sits on a committee or is a scientist
1:09:21
biologist who doesn't like bass he thinks they should should have been eradicated day one that we first found him and he continues to do so he she
1:09:28
whatever I think it's wrong yeah I agree anyways uh Randy fet a member of the executive of the ELA fish and game uh
1:09:36
Club um is starting to you know rustle the trees a little bit and he says that
1:09:42
many anglers in the region are disappointed in the changes and are asking for more transparency and that's
1:09:47
the key transparency from the government when they make these decisions all he's
1:09:53
saying is hey guys let us know can you show us because if you show us we buy in yeah the only reason that there wouldn't
1:09:59
be transparency by the way is because there's a hidden agenda why else would a Ministry that is
1:10:07
in charge of Fish and Wild Life not be totally transparent well because in some
1:10:14
cases they can't there's something there that they are afraid you are going to
1:10:19
find out about and they don't want you to So Randy is absolutely 100% right
1:10:25
hold their feet to the fire and say okay you put this in place you want us to buy
1:10:30
in Now show us why he says why is the Walley season shortened when there is no
1:10:36
evidence that the fish are spawning early right they didn't show any evidence of it they just that's great
1:10:43
point so anyway great point it's going to be interesting because that's a big region a very popular uh wfe fishery
1:10:50
fishy region yeah so it'll be interesting to follow that and see where did they not open uh bass season there
1:10:58
all year for a little bit yeah it's not there not there now yeah so but they did didn't they yeah and maybe they got
1:11:05
pushed back on that because of the because we that's where an and I heard through local Anglers that they're doing
1:11:10
that because of the trout they're they want to get rid of all back pretty sure it is open is it not no I looked it up
1:11:15
today but the next the next one up it is but not there oh okay yeah so they've
1:11:20
done there's a couple there's a couple of spots in a couple in Ontario it's open all year but there's and there's
1:11:26
different limits too you have to the the key for everybody listening here right now make sure you get look at the
1:11:31
regulations every year you need to look at the fishing regulations where you're going fishing because each one of those changes so much I learned something
1:11:37
today on the regs I looking at this stuff I don't know if you guys knew this Lake Erie and Lake hiron Walley is open
1:11:44
all year in Ontario yeah all year I didn't know that I didn't know that I did not know that's been there forever
1:11:49
yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah I I just thought wow that's uh you know you learn in that book every time every time you
1:11:54
look at it so uh M&R by the way is uh responding I don't want it to sound like
1:12:00
they're not um one of the things that they cite uh for the change is that the
1:12:06
FM Z10 uh Zone has the highest road and population density of all the zones in
1:12:14
uh Northeast so population concerns accessibility to these Waters obviously
1:12:20
are concerns if the roadways allow people to to drive into these Lakes um
1:12:27
but they're also monitoring it showing and they're showing results that the Walley population in that area is among
1:12:32
the lowest of Northern uh fmz and particularly adult walleye
1:12:39
abundance is below levels considered sustainable so here's the problem with making points like that and that's then
1:12:45
that's fantastic um but can you not publish that
1:12:50
information that's the thing can you not say and the other members of the club hey Randy here's here's what we've got
1:12:57
here's the numbers here look see look 10 years ago there was there there's not wouldn't that be just an easy way to
1:13:04
deal with this like I I don't get it man yeah because I think most Anglers they
1:13:10
won't push back if it's legit if it's you know if here's the numbers the biologists tell you that is below levels
1:13:17
considered sustainable okay you know what you've proven it to us then okay we'll set back and we'll but obviously
1:13:23
they weren't transparent about it by the sounds of things and and the walleye itself is the blame too damn it let's
1:13:29
put the blame where where we so tasty that everybody wants to catch them and eat them those ones that I fizzed man
1:13:35
they tasted good I fizzed them in the frying pan afterwards damn they were good holy gez I couldn't believe how
1:13:41
good they were actually you know they are just a a very consumable commodity and people love to catch them and eat
1:13:48
them and I don't blame them they are absolutely absolutely wonderful to consume assume and that's also part of
1:13:55
the reasoning that M&R is giving is that it's the most highly sought after species in the area and uh it's the
1:14:02
second most sought after in fmz 10 they're saying during the summer oh
1:14:07
summer months second most second most winter months what would be the number one trout oh yeah yeah I guess trout
1:14:15
would have to be yeah although I find that hard to believe but it would have to be that's what they they have to what
1:14:20
other species would be and you know and I know I've gotten myself in trouble over this
1:14:28
comment before um so we we spent an hour talking about
1:14:35
fishing through the ice earlier on in this very podcast but um quite honestly
1:14:41
I'm not a big fan of it I don't do it anymore I um have a belief that there
1:14:49
are a lot of lakes that the winter fishery is the most harmful part of the
1:14:56
Harvest of fish I think that during the winter period some Lakes should get a
1:15:03
reprieve some fish should get a reprieve from the governor and uh you know get
1:15:08
them out of the Executioner box because I think in a lot of cases it's not
1:15:14
necessary right but that's just an opinion doesn't mean y it's just my opinion I think there are lakes and you
1:15:20
know what the one that came to mind most often was a very familiar Lake to us
1:15:26
which is only 20 minutes away from from the studio here which is now completely closed for walleye fishing right because
1:15:34
at one point you know we talk about transparency and we talk about governments and M&R Etc at one point M&R
1:15:43
uh asked for input from Anglers um to the possibility because
1:15:49
the walleye fishing was starting to WAN and the populations were dropping there there were this Lake skoog you're
1:15:55
talking yeah Lake skoog there were other circumstances that led to this as well by the way I don't want to put the blame
1:16:01
strictly on the winter harvesting of walleye on skoog for this but um at one
1:16:08
point &r had to make a decision because they did not want to see the collapse of this unique uh genan pool of walleye
1:16:15
that are on that Lake and so they asked the Anglers if they would consider the
1:16:22
moratorium at least a temporary one on ice fishing and uh the answer was a
1:16:29
resounding no from the users and so &r had no choice but to shut her all down
1:16:36
and they did and it's still shut down they did for sure you know I heard an interesting thing from uh from our buddy
1:16:41
Chris hawkley uh he told me about there's a couple of invasive weed species in that Lake that have taken
1:16:49
over the Walley spawning areas and so I mean when they were saying it's all about the people killing the fish and
1:16:55
all that well it wasn't just the people maybe it was part of it but these apparently what's going on under the
1:17:00
water right now is ridiculous apparently these these spawning areas these Rocky areas and the shorelines are getting
1:17:05
wiped out by this I can't remember what what the species of plant was but just another invasive in you know involved in
1:17:13
and ruining uh what was a great fish or helping to ruin what was a great fish how the hell would that even happen
1:17:18
though I wonder I don't know I have because skog is at the top of the mountain right everything flows out it's
1:17:24
not like it flows in everything is moving out so in order for invasives to
1:17:29
get into a lake like that they would have had to in this case aquatic uh plants they would have had to been
1:17:36
introduced right on that Lake yeah which is another interesting thing interesting
1:17:42
yeah yeah anyways there's we know so little about about this thing that we love uh sometimes we uh we get way ahead
1:17:50
of ourselves the fish at the end of the day will tell us what they need and in this case I think this situation in
1:17:57
Northern Ontario will uh straighten itself out in due time but um it's it's
1:18:03
it's a lesson for everybody to honestly just that probably that map was taken
1:18:09
out of the yeah that go to the book go to the fish Ontario fishing regulations if you live on Ontario wherever you live
1:18:15
go to the RS no matter what you like what you don't like you have to abide by the rules or you're going to get charged
1:18:20
if you get caught right so learn the they always write in red the new regulations that come out like I did
1:18:26
today I learned about Lake hon and Lake Yan knew about it I didn't know about that I mean I fished my whole life here and I didn't know that there was an all
1:18:32
year on there so there's so much you can learn but you need to know the rules you really do you're you're your own liquor
1:18:37
control board in this sense you just have to know that if you're on that Lake in that zone you need to know the rules
1:18:43
to that so it's very smart to do ah I think we beat that one to death
1:18:48
yeah that's okay that's okay uh fan question my favorite part of the show
1:18:54
fan question of the week is submitted by Dominic Goa goia is that another C or no
1:19:00
what is that Goa C no where are you getting the C I don't know you're started you just Goa I know where you
1:19:06
getting the SE Goa versus go by your own car take
1:19:13
take God where are you getting a see I want to know I didn't know if it was an Italian name or not maybe I don't know
1:19:20
is it Itali but where's the c c you said to me I I said the Italian name the
1:19:26
other you started doing all this stuff so no he's from Ontario he's not from Italy he's from Ontario and he contacted
1:19:34
us via email see automatically cuz he's see you just said see again see
1:19:39
see thank you oh if you've got a burning question
1:19:45
that uh needs to be answered uh submit it to info@ fishing canada.com yes and
1:19:51
uh Dean will take it uh from he'll tear it off of the machine where he Ascend it
1:19:57
in and he will put it in his 45 gallon drum that he recovered from the local scrapyard uh a couple of years ago and
1:20:04
cleaned it all up and got it all pretty and shiny it's a bigger drum I think there a bunch of [ __ ] no it's not
1:20:09
it's not thank you Dino good one anyways uh send it to us and we'll Endeavor to
1:20:15
answer just like we're going to Endeavor to answer Dominic's question he wants to know who did you both look up to as a
1:20:22
fishing icon growing up I think we've had this one before I think we probably have but we can definitely answer it for
1:20:29
Dominic because he took the time to write it right I think right you know anybody that writes these questions in they all have a a good they deserve an
1:20:36
answer how's that if we talk about it you want to go first you want me to go first I think no because I'm trying to
1:20:42
think of what my answer was on the last time I answered this and I don't want to contradict myself so allow me to uh I
1:20:49
think the last one was who you who introduced you to fishing I thought no we did this icon thing before I think we
1:20:54
have something that's fine that's fine I think mine for for all time would be Roland Martin I
1:21:01
have to say Roland Martin because I Used to Love bass fishing then I got into this tournament crazy my whole life
1:21:07
really young and all that stuff so I'd have to say Roland Martin and and another one that was big with me if I
1:21:13
can go on to more than one was Rick clun who later on and after Roland started
1:21:19
getting some his butt kicked by certain people was Rick Clen was a huge and that one and the other one to me the other
1:21:24
two to me are we mentioned we mentioned them earlier in the show the the LD nurse oh for sure Allen Ron they they
1:21:32
just they so in a technical fashion those guys were so R Al
1:21:38
still Ron passed away but Al still has such a great uh philosophy in fishing
1:21:44
and the technical aspect and he just really gets into it nice so those are the guys that I really I would really
1:21:49
say have been pretty much got it all covered there I mean I could go a little
1:21:54
uh couple years Bey earlier than that I think somebody who got me into the whole outdoors and because of of fishing uh do
1:22:03
you remember Kirk gouty yeah the American Sports The all- American Sportsman I'm Kurt gouty oh man that was
1:22:11
a really nice show too that got that guy got me hooked on uh on getting into fishing for sure yeah um and our very
1:22:18
own red Fisher here in Canada who had a nice run for a while in a totally different way uh but he was an
1:22:25
inspiration um to me I used to watch red but it wasn't an inspiration Roland was
1:22:30
was really the guy though Roland has to be at the top of if you're a bass person then yeah especially our age if you're a
1:22:37
bass person he is the guy you know what I mean so there's different guys kbd nowadays would have been and he's even
1:22:42
retired now too he's done um you know now Jacob Wheeler's big name for the younger guys they're looking up to but
1:22:48
there's always somebody there is Iconic in the bass world for sure so yeah but there's never never been another Roland
1:22:53
no he's like Roland is so got he's got the credentials and he's got the personality he's such a great guy I love
1:23:00
getting into his head even now at his age today oh my God I love sitting down and talking to him getting into his head
1:23:07
cuz he's got such interesting uh viewpoints on things totally you know
1:23:12
just when you think he's going to go this direction he veers off and zigs over here he just blows my mind every
1:23:18
time wonderful guy and still producing a great show still hardcore man hardcore
1:23:24
isn't the word for this how old is he uh 84 84 you we watch we edit his show and
1:23:30
we see all the footage and that guy runs around a boat like an athlete like it's un he's got some knee braces this year
1:23:37
KN stuff happening so yeah but so he may be showing a bit of a a touch of weakness but the guy who's got
1:23:43
Kryptonite or something he's like he's unreal you know I got to tell you something from a behind the scene look
1:23:50
and point of view um the difference though Roland at 84
1:23:57
and us at our age doing this work Roland does it all by
1:24:03
himself he doesn't have a crew and a bunch of guys who are all sort of H helping in the heavy lifting and all
1:24:10
that stuff yeah he does it all by himself yeah he's he's a one-man show
1:24:16
he's a monster that's for sure oh he's a monster I love the guy anyway so hopefully that answered your question
1:24:23
domic Dominic but I think I think if you go back to a previous episode you'll see
1:24:28
we answered that probably in a totally different way before hopefully not we'll
1:24:34
see all right um what we were supposed to be talking about this whole time
1:24:39
which we totally blew but we'll just cover it real quick yeah a couple of uh
1:24:45
um couple of things uh the main segment was supposed to be about this this year
1:24:51
202 24 sees us here in Canada as a I Won't Say the Last Man Standing
1:25:00
because that would not be accurate but one of the one of the last men standing um in our industry maybe the last men
1:25:07
standing in a national level no yeah possibly maybe Coast to Coast y level um
1:25:12
because everybody's retired which which I don't know how to take I don't know what to think of it U
1:25:20
everybody's retired or retiring and that leaves us in a we're talking
1:25:26
fishing show fish here in Cas everybody's wondering puts us in a weird predicament because we look at ourselves
1:25:33
wait a minute are like do these guys know something we
1:25:38
don't uh should we have been quitting ourselves uh are we sure that we want to
1:25:45
stay at this um and so we've been asking ourselves a lot of questions a lot of
1:25:51
questions and it's uh it's it's um not a cop out from our standpoint but
1:25:58
we still have to uh evaluate all of the information that's out there right now
1:26:04
because the industry is on a bit of a flux I don't the consumer is not aware of it but this industry right now is is
1:26:11
riding on uh on a really thin rail um correct right a lot of things are have
1:26:18
and will be changing in short order that uh will change the playing field the
1:26:25
landscape of this business completely so you know uh did all these other people
1:26:31
bail out knowing that this was coming up I don't know are we the idiots who can't see do we need to P do we need to pull
1:26:37
our our head out of our how long how long ago did Bob Bob isumi uh retired
1:26:43
three this will be season three season three so I don't know was things were pretty good back then so I don't know
1:26:49
Bob predicted that I think Bob just wanted to that's enough with the fishing shows I want to go and I'm going to be Consulting for companies for fishing
1:26:55
companies and do my thing fish some tournaments cuz that's what Bobby does he loves fish tournaments and all that so he probably kind of said Okay I I
1:27:02
need to move on to some more fun stuff maybe I don't know what his thinking about that Charlie Charlie Ray I'm not
1:27:08
sure Charlie just retired I think we've announced that a couple weeks ago or a week ago and uh offishal thinking and we
1:27:16
just got verification of it an and I just got verification of it so I don't know what Charlie's thoughts are on it
1:27:22
either you know his cuz he's younger Charlie's younger than Bob that's for sure right oh hell yeah I would think
1:27:27
Charlie's but you just said something that caught my attention I didn't want to interrupt you cuz you were on a roll
1:27:33
there but you said maybe these guys wanted to do something more fun yeah wow
1:27:41
no because is there is there anything more fun than what we do doing it there without a cameraman in your face without
1:27:48
having to produce a show without having to do all that kind of stuff you're I love baa I'd like to take baa fishing
1:27:54
for fun without having have baa have to shoot I think baa let's just go catch him release fishing and and let's have
1:27:59
some fun baa is thrown some interest in Catching with casting out and BC and stuff like that yes it's just it's work
1:28:07
work are you finding that the camera is becoming a little cumbersome the
1:28:13
camera's always been cumbersome okay always because it's not the same as just going out fishing when I in my previous
1:28:20
life to fish in Canada before I started doing this it was just going out with your buddies and and fishing whenever you want you have you know it's fun and
1:28:26
you're doing it for fun and you're doing whatever maybe you're going out for a feet of fish or whatever it's different when it's a job it's a job okay that's
1:28:34
that's the whole thing it's called a job and it makes it different okay you know what I mean I'll remember that well I
1:28:40
think you should have already know that if you haven't known by that by now and I think you're in a clauset somewhere I
1:28:47
don't know jeez I don't know I don't know whether I I can agree with your
1:28:52
assessment that they want to move on and do something that's more fun because I think each one of those gentlemen that you just mentioned and now I'll go South
1:29:00
of the Border I'll I'll jump the border and say people like Bill Dance Roland Martin that we talked about
1:29:08
and good friend Jimmy Houston you think that they are doing it for anything other than they love it and they're
1:29:14
having fun I got to think think income must be something to do with it are you
1:29:20
serious be something to do with it are you serious got to pay some bills somehow don't you okay first of all I can tell you with total certainty that
1:29:26
two out of those three gentlemen are millionaires they have no need for money
1:29:31
money is a an encumbrance okay so let's remove the money from that moneyy is
1:29:37
never an encumbrance it is an encumbrance for them there's two out of the three there he's got to be one of
1:29:43
them right there I'm not saying he's made Millions on his bloopers alone I'm not saying so money is not the issue
1:29:49
that guy does it because he can't can't give it up because he's afraid that he'll stop having
1:29:56
fun good point that's that guy okay the other guy I'll give it to him is
1:30:02
probably as close to that mentality as Bill and that is Roland
1:30:10
right the third guy that I mentioned here Jimmy Houston yes there is nobody
1:30:15
on this planet that has more fun than Jimmy every day that he's on the road
1:30:21
okay nobody so if everybody's having fun why are these guys retiring then that's why that's why I'm throwing that out and
1:30:27
that's why when you made that comment I had to stop and say hm what's going on here so I'm what I'm saying is maybe not
1:30:33
everybody takes your opinion and says it's fun that's all I'm not saying it's not fun it's the greatest job in the
1:30:39
world I'm saying it's a job versus not a job now you're different too you own the
1:30:46
company I'm an employee that's different too in that sense okay as being an employee no matter what what's the
1:30:52
difference between you and me well obviously you think it's a lot more fun than I
1:31:01
do God good point on that note we should probably end this conversation cuz it's going down the wrong road no no don't
1:31:09
get me wrong I don't want to leave it on that note I love my job this is fun right here this is fun what we're doing
1:31:14
is fun and all that stuff but what don't you like about what you do no I think it'd be even better if I didn't have to
1:31:21
have all the encumbrances that you just said is that the word you just said the encumbrance so you want to be by yourself no go and
1:31:28
come as you please well I like that sometimes yes I do like that and do not enjoy all of
1:31:36
the because it's not just about the fishing you see here's the difference I think between my opinion and your
1:31:42
opinion right I don't do this for the fishing right as you know okay I have
1:31:49
many more interests in my life than that I'm not onedimensional see you later Joe have a great day buddy backi big hand
1:31:58
for Joe as he goes for lunch Joe would agree with me right now okay just what the way the boss just said something
1:32:03
like that right there okay smart off have a good lunch y'all um you don't live for Just Fishing
1:32:09
absolutely absolutely so so for me um what we do for a
1:32:16
living is when I say it's fun it's so unique it's so damn unique there is not
1:32:23
another agreed occupation in your case or or or company in my case that you
1:32:30
could do and be involved in that is anything even close to think of what we do we'll sit here in the next month or
1:32:37
so and we'll design where we want to go and travel to all of next year and then
1:32:42
we'll get on a plane and we'll or in some cases we'll drive to these wild
1:32:47
domestically exotic places that most people do once in their life absolutely
1:32:54
if they're lucky absolutely they will do it once great we do it year after year after year and we have the ability to
1:33:01
change it up we can pick and choose we can do whatever yes they're long hard
1:33:06
days yes we hit some shitty conditions weatherwise yes the beds are not always
1:33:14
the most comfortable in the world yes I do not have porcelain everywhere I go
1:33:19
yes yes yes yes yes but at the end of the day when you take all of that and
1:33:24
sit back and look at it and say my God you're not hearing me my God I said
1:33:30
this is a damn fun job it would be even more fun if I didn't it wasn't a job that's all I say okay well we could well
1:33:36
what is a job V can you help me you're new to this what is a job a job is a source of income thank you Boba a job is
1:33:43
a source of income right all right so we're going to Dean we're going to fix him up right away we're going to remove the income part because obviously the
1:33:49
income is an issue with him that's that's what it is so let's eliminate it's not a job anymore here
1:33:55
congratulations I want to do this for free well there's a lot of advertisers out there who think that that's exactly
1:34:00
what we do good one that's a way to end on the
1:34:07
not we are getting carried away enough of that um nonsense enough of that
1:34:14
nonsense um wow that was good do we have anything else to cover we pretty much we
1:34:21
pretty much got a bun stuff but we're good we could uh I we baby this baby is sunk in the
1:34:27
mud want to thank everybody for joining we got bar traum you're going to try and push us back down there now get down
1:34:32
there and get geez uh thank everybody for joining us uh once again thank you thank you
1:34:38

1:34:44
doesn't like doing so I appreciate you uh keep watching keep listening keep
1:34:50
tuning in keep whatever whatever it is you're doing keep it up we appreciate I'm just
