Hiya folks,
Gord Pyzer here, for Outdoor Canada Magazine. And I want to talk today about where others fear to tread. What am I talking about?
In almost every lake you fish, there are areas that anglers avoid. Sometimes could be ultra weedy, snaggy, dense cover area in back bays. Everybody wants to avoid them. In other lakes, it could be a section of the lake that gets dirty or stained water, and folks don’t like that. They always keep looking for the clearest possible area.
Now, what I love to do, I like to find those areas that people fear to tread and that’s where I go fishing, and you should as well.
Now for certain, there’s a way you’re going to have to counter those negative conditions. You might have to flip and pitch heavy jigs, or pick brighter lures with more vibration. But when you fish those areas that other anglers don’t, the fish are unpressured, some of the biggest and best fish in the water.
Happy Fish’n,Gord “The Doc” Pyzer
