Lake Ontario – N43° 56.770’ W 76° 48.719’
Today’s Hotspot is a rocky point extending from False Duck Island. The waypoint on your screen will get you there.
Using a boat is the only way to access this waypoint. After that, it’s your choice whether to set up on shore or from your boat. The active, feeding Carp started the day in the extreme shallows but eventually moved off into the deeper water adjacent to the point.
Although you can get away with regular fishing gear here, a Carp-specific rod and reel make the whole experience more effective and authentic.
Love them or not, Carp are going to be here in Canada for a long time. So why not embrace this underutilized fishery?
