Hotspot Brought To You By Garmin.
The Hotspot for this episode is Dog Lake, an area that includes a breakline, rock point, and a flat and is about the size of 2 football fields.
To find the fish-holding spots, we used traditional sonar, side viewing and forward viewing technologies.
Since the fish were spread out, trolling was our best option.
We used Crystal Minnow Deep Diving Walleye crankbaits and ran them approximately 60-75 feet behind the boat using our electric motor.
We also caught a couple of fish with a 3DB Deep Diving bass crankbait as well.
Our trolling speeds varied, but 1.5 to 2 mph is always a good starting point.
