Hotspot

New Brunswick Largemouth | HotSpot

N45° 59.108 W066° 54.458 Since this episode had so many fishing locations, it made a single Hotspot hard to choose, so we decided on arguably the most unique New Brunswick species, the Largemouth Bass. Largemouth have been documented in New Brunswick for decades, but it’s only recently that there’s been some extra interest, especially from those who cherish the already well-established Smallmouth Bass fishery. The Largemouth area that Steve fished is called Mactaquac Lake, AKA

Temagami Lake Trout | HotSpot

N47° 08.384 W080° 05.266 This Hotspot is an underwater hump on Lake Temagami that holds a multitude of fish species including, of course, Lake Trout. The key to catching the residing Lakers here during the warmer summer months is to scour the deep drops on the outside edges of the shoal. We’d recommend at least 50 feet deep with 60 –  80 feet being the best for us. Of course, if you have LiveScope on

Lumberjack Shorelunch Walleye

N49° 57.267 W091° 00.497 This episode’s HotSpot is a slow tapering point, on Sturgeon Lake in North West Ontario. This area is probably the most consistent Walleye producer of the entire season.  Try trolling Walleye-style crankbaits, slowly pull spinner rigs with live bait, or jigging with either plastics or live bait. By the way, this spot replenishes with Walleye all day long. We believe they come into the shallower water to feed and then retreat

Mackenzie River Pike | HotSpot

N60° 59.584′, W116°26.300′ This Fish’n Canada Hotspot is one of the many monster Pike holding areas that are accessed through Brabant Lodge on the Mackenzie River in the Northwest Territories We primarily used 2 bait styles that both work with the same presentation. Yo-Zuri Twitchbaits and Jerkbaits were the deal for us… and the bigger the better! We constantly changed bait colours throughout the day and it seemed to make a difference.  By shooting our

Walleye on Perrault Lake | HotSpot

N50° 16.727, W093° 04.040 Today’s Hotspot is where Ang hooked into a beauty of a Walleye on Perrault Lake and, of course, since I forgot the net, I lost it at boatside.  It’s also the spot where Ang hooked into a scum-covered, half net… something our guys have never done in the history of the show, and it actually saved Pete’s bacon! This spot is a rocky point, and the day the guys hit it,

Lake Of Bays / Entrance to Haystack Bay

N 45°16.430 W079°01.186 DEPTH: 15-28 Feet PRESENTATION: Dropshotting, Tubes, Ned Rigs BAITS: Soft Plastics This Hotspot is a narrowed-down area on Lake of Bays in the Muskoka region of Ontario. It’s an easy one to find as there is a red channel buoy directly adjacent to it.  The unique part of this Hotspot is the big, extending sand and rock point that juts out from shore and then plummets into deep water. This is an
