Walleye on Perrault Lake | HotSpot

Today’s Hotspot is where Ang hooked into a beauty of a Walleye on Perrault Lake and, of course, since I forgot the net, I lost it at boatside.

It’s also the spot where Ang hooked into a scum-covered, half net… something our guys have never done in the history of the show, and it actually saved Pete’s bacon!

This spot is a rocky point, and the day the guys hit it, the wind was howling directly over it… making it a perfect shallow Walleye location.

If you are throwing jigs here, be prepared to lose some tackle. Rocks and boulders are nearly impossible to jig fish without snagging up.

A good alternative is to run a jerkbait, crankbait or a twitchbait just above the rocks.

Depth: 3 – 7 Feet

Baits: Yo-Zuri Jerkbaits/Crankbaits/Twitchbaits, Dropshotting, Jigs

Presentation: Work Shallow When Windy

A Yo-Zuri 3DB Jerkbait 110 (Suspending) in Ghost Perch Colour was “fire” on Perrault!
