This Hotspot is a bay in the Yellowknife River. This is an early season post-spawn Pike area that can get some really big fish cruising around. It’s all about timing. A soft, weightless jerkbait like a Yamamoto D Shad in a bright colour will pretty much clean up here. Slow-moving spoons and spinnerbaits can do wonders here as well.
Take advantage of the gin-clear water and use your eyes to look for any big, long, dark spots lying on the bottom—they’re not always logs!
