Eagle Lake – N 49° 44.257′ W 93° 08.764′
Today’s Garmin Hotspot is along Partridge Point on Eagle Lake, Ontario, where I hooked my feisty first muskie of the trip and had another follow almost immediately afterwards. The waypoint on your screen will get you there.
This long, main-lake point runs from deep water into a weedy bay—a perfect combination for muskie. Our guide Tyler says there’s lots of nice Pike here as well. I used a downsized version of a double-10 tinsel because I was looking for biters and not necessarily big fish. If you really want a giant on Eagle, throw the big nasty double-10s like Mike was working.
Finally, always keep your eyes behind as well as on your bait throughout the entire retrieve; muskies are masters of deception.
